we don't have to agree on hingis -

but atleast there seems to be some consensus regarding this:

Quote :
"We've previously discussed how Federer's girlfriend is inexplicably unattractive."

also - yawn - the men's side is boring to me & the women's is more exciting for once - i'm def. happy hingis came back - it makes things more interesting........

the men's side is boring to me cause of the unfamiliarity with the players. i like federer and santoro, and after that, i really dont know the other people

yea - i watch tennis lots & recognize the names on the men's side but I GUESS I JUST MISS ANDRE SO MUCH - & i am long bored w/ federer & i don't like roddick - if he's grown up since i last watched him, maybe i'll give him another chance.....

i recognize their names but thats the extent of it. santoro is fun to watch, so i'm pullin for him. i cant envision anyone beating federer though. it is almost boring cause he's so good, its gotten predictable.

You have to root for Hingis. Easily the most interesting part of the tournament.

I think Nadal's absence really killed the men's draw. Roddick and Blake not blowing would have been nice, I guess.

Cant sleep on Baghdatis though....Like they kept saying in the Roddick match, he doesnt hurt himself that much. You have to beat him. Sure I think Nalbandian will beat him but I also thought Roddick would and Lubjcick would, but they didnt.

I also kind of like the enthusiasm his fans show. They annoyed the hell out of me at first during the Roddick match but I kind of like the support they show now, regardless of whether he won or lost the point.

andy roddick is the most overrated tennis player in the world.

i've never liked the kid - too cocky for some 21 yr. old who just won first grand slam - too showy when he plays tennis - he needs ritalin

he needs to learn that trying to hit your forehand and serve as hard as you can does not work in grandslam tennis.

for real - winning your serve ain't shit - it's expected - i'm sure he racks up tons of unforced errors too....

i really dont think roddick is overatted. When he's off he's off. The reason he doesn't have more grand slams is because federer is just a monster. He'd have 4 grand slams by now if federer never played. He is a cocky guy, but i don't think he's overatted

^Federer's domination is by no means any excuse for Roddick's unrelenting habit of 1st and 2nd round exits in tourneys, especially Grand Slams.

Andy is ass crack and his serve nor his forehand are no longer weapons of mass destruction.

i didn't say that his first round exists were because of federe

i'm saying that he's not that overatted. Tennis is prime for upsets of greater players. Roddick is young (mostly plays young) and has had DUMB mathces. He plays shitty, but that no way means he's overrated. Hewitt has had several 1st round exits in majors, yet man people consider him one of the best behind federer. I don't think if you drew roddick in the first round you'd be happy. He'd be the second to last person anyone would want to play.

Are you kidding?

Nadal would be murdering this tournament.

He's not Guillermo Coria.

i think he would too. his quickness and shot making ability it wouldnt matter if he was a clay courter. plus the draw was ravaged before it even started.

roddick isnt overrated...he's the best young american, so the american media markets him. these other tennis players are stars in their country, roddick is a star (albeit not a major one considering all our other major athletes) in our country.

by the way, kiefer is a crybaby. hope he loses.

I don't know which is funnier, that Kiefer talks shit to ball boys or that he gets continunally fined in his fucking wins and has to have a running tally for the tournament.

If I was calling this shit I wouldn't even pretend to be neutral.
