i dont like fast chinese food, and i steered clear of anything taht reminded me of that when i went there. but the food i tried there was pretty damned good - id def go back, and im a really picky eater

i had the mongolian beef and that was awesome, the ribs were also good

I think PF Chang's is good for lunch, and Kanki is good for dinner...HOWEVER, if I was in Raleigh, I wouldn't eat at either place, because of so many other excellent places for the same price.

technically it's both bbq, but we all know there is a HUGE difference

I don't even feel like it's fair to compare the two.. to me they're totally different. Plus unless you goto Kanki for lunch, their food is really expensive, and you've gotta sit at a table with a bunch of other people you don't know.

^^^^ Well actually they do. There are a number of places I saw in Tokyo that serve food this way but the menu items are slightly different and a little less show. There it is called teppanyaki.
