Apparently some guy won the layup, 3 pointer, and half court shot competition during half time. UMD fans say it was the highlight of the game. 2/2/2006 10:05:48 PM |

It's just too bad that the league's worst officials had to call that game. The officials for that game should have had mace and handcuffs. The worst called game in a while going both ways, and the most contact I've seen since the last UFC matches I watched about a month ago....
In the end, the ACC officials won. They won with an inside presence that completely missed the obvious calls and hit the ones that would boggle the mind. Handsblow was held in check for most of the game, but there were plenty of calls given to the team wearing Columbia blue. It was certainly a display of basketball that doesn't belong in the ACC. It looked like a game in the And-1 tour, or played in the alley lot between two buildings in New Jersey. 2/3/2006 8:48:23 AM |

erica85 just came out of his little spot under the trollbridge to taunt someone before returning to obscurity.
ACC Refball is the latest and greatest addition to ACC athletics. The allstars of the sport are Edsall, Rose, and Hess. The first inductee into the ACC Hall of Champions for Refball is Jim Knight. Jim was made famous by his life and death and back to life experience at Kenan Stadium. Knight never forgot that day and made sure that UNC was paid back in more than points over the remainder of his career. John Swofford called Knight a "great official and a friend of UNC." 2/3/2006 12:00:14 PM |

never complained about the job I have. never.
Not really complaining about Swofford or refs. Just trying to bring attention to a growing problem. 2/3/2006 12:08:57 PM |

if it has been going on as long as it has, how is it now just a growing problem?
Besides Swofford being from UNC, what do you have against him? 2/3/2006 12:12:17 PM |

He and I are from the same hometown. Most of his family is really nice, but he's not. I have no problem with him being a commisioner of a conference. I love to see people from my town do well. I just don't like him as the commisioner of the ACC. He sits on his high throne in Greensboro and does nothing about the officiating problem that has been there for a long time, but it is growing and getting worse. He only goes to games in which he has personal interest (UNC games mainly). He has the look of a used car dealer trying to sell you a lemon (he's up to something).
I am NOT a conspiracy theorist or a whiner. I see a problem with him at the top. Changing the head of officials hasn't helped the officiating. I think that the problem goes to the top. I don't mind expansion (except for basketball scheduling). 2/3/2006 12:21:07 PM |
