bridgeport's bottle-conditioned IPA is very good too
Rogue Dead Guy Ale - ol' reliable
Sam Adam's Boston Lager - available in even the shittiest of grocery stores
Cottonwoods IPA - cheap and good

and PBR will always be my standby american piss lager, since it was $5.50/12-pack @ the convenience store at the corner of western and kaplan...
