loosing out in the first round after having the best start in forever and ending with a 5 game loosing streak after years of scraping by just enough to keep a job, i think its time to look elsewhere for a coach...

I'll support him as long as he is at our current level of performance (perennial top 25, annual tourney bid). I'm not satisfied with that by any means, but I could never support firing him assuming the aforementioned.

However, if he were to leave of his own accord, I'd be fine with that. I don't believe that Herb is at the same level as Roy or K, and it's unlikely that he'll ever be, and I think we could attract a top coach, should a vacancy arise.

But that said, as long as he's here, I'll support him and the team.

No school--NO school--is going to fire a coach after three consecutive 20-win seasons, five trips to the tourney, a Sweet 16, ACC COY, good recruiting, etc.

Most of the talk swirling about coaches to replace Herb is laughable because the names aren't even that impressive.

About the only guy I think would be a step up would be Jay Wright, and I don't think it's at all likely that he'd leave Nova after getting that huge extension last year.

^honestly, and i truly believe this, i think they're worse than unc fans. with unc fans they'll taunt and cheer and go to games when they're really good, and then they'll just disappear from the face of the earth when unc is bad. our fans, when they BELIEVE we are doing poorly, literally try to run the coach out of town. they bitch and moan and personally i'd rather them just disappear like unc fans if they aren't happy with the progress we've made. because i'd know then that they couldn't potentially fuck up our program by making the coach decide to take a better job.
