truth be told, if i were considering a large ($1500+) purchase, i'd probably jump on this...alas, i'm too poor

that would come off as so sleezy...though good idea, i suppose (though how many people who are buying a big ol tv are going to be paying for it all that day? most are probably doing the credit line or something)

When I worked there we took a $12,000 purchase in cash one time. We got out the IRS form that has to be filled out for cash purchases over $10k and he would not fill it out. He made us ring up the sale on two different receipts.

A question for TWWers that know how these things work. Is there any way a person could get screwed with this?

For example, if I bought it at the store after verifying the balance and held it for a couple of weeks is it possible that the original owner could place an order from the bestbuy website without actually having the card in hand?

if youre really worried about it i guess you could have them switch it to a different card or something

im willing to do that if you want it

You should see about splitting it up into $100 and $200 dollar cards,

Probly much more likely to sell a $100 dollar card for $80 than a $1509 for $1350.
