^^^For the $20 trick; I just fold the twenty and place it between my id and credit card when I get to the counter. Then just politely ask "Do you have any complimentary room upgrade today?" If they can't help they'll give back the twenty with your cards. I was able to get a comped room upgraded to a strip view and larger room earlier this year.

I like MGM, good pool, big casino and good food, don't stay there anymore because harrahs comps me at their hotels so I mostly stay at planet Hollywood now.

I feel like now I have my hopes up for this whole 20 dollars with ID and debit card trick. I am staying at Harrahs this weekend and my friends at NY NY. So literally just walk up to the front desk, hand em my ID, debit card, harrahs card and a 20? I am getting comped for 4 nights so dont want to push it, but for the love of me I would love for this to work!!!!!

Best to assume that it won't work, and be surprised it did. It's worked under 50% of the time for me.

Well the 20 dollar thing worked. I got upgraded to 3435 in the harrahs carnival tower. Nice Junior Suite. Definitely hit up Joyce at the front desk. my other friends stayed at New York New York and it was a nice regular hotel room but I like that casino. In all honesty it was a lot of walking. Hell the two best clubs are Surrender and XS and they are at encore at the Wynn. Saw Calvin Harris both nights and was out until 7AM there time. I would DEFInITELy recommend paying for VIP when in vegas at pools or clubs. Skip the lines, better service, better time. AKA don't come with cheap asses. All this said I still have not recooperated yet from the trip. So tired.

Going in two weekends again. Thinking this will be my 13th trip but i've lost count haha... first time ive ever gone for just a weekend though, usually go for 7-8 days to justify the miserable flight.

I've never actually wired money out to a casino before though, is it relatively easy or kinda a hassle?

I've got free wiring through my premium checking but i dont know if that applies just to wire it out there or wire it back as well... is it expensive or do the casinos cover it for you? I may just bring any cash i have back since ill be leaving most of what i wire out there in long term sports bets...

I have stayed at Mandalay Bay which was very nice. One little cool anecdote is right across the street you can see the Janet flights (white unmarked planes with red stripes over the windows) that fly workers to and from Area 51.

Of course the most money I won while there occurred in the airport just before going home
