And it's as simple as just pulling out now.

Yes sirree, no phased withdrawals and over the horizon forces.

Thank you Fox, for saving me the trouble of thinking.

On that OKCupid test, I'm between MLK and Adam Sandler (wtf?)

On the Political Compass, I'm at (1.38, -2.72), in the libertarian quadrant, but more economically moderate.

I'm closer to the Lib Dems in the UK than any party here, but I tend to support Democrats who value economic a more centrist econ. policy, unless there's an attractive moerate like Olympia Snowe or Lincoln Chafee from the GOP.

Quote :
"The Democratic Loyalty Quiz

10 Questions to Test Your Allegiance to the Democrats

Your score is 6 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a moderate Democrat. You agree with Democrats more often than not, but have misgivings about some of their positions on key social issues, as well as their ability to defend the country. You remain supportive for now, but if Democrats keep moving to the left and taking their cues from people like Michael Moore, you may decide to jump off that crazy train."

Quote :
"The Republican Loyalty Quiz

10 Questions to Test Your Allegiance to the GOP

Your score is 3 on a scale of 1 to 10. You are a solid Democrat. You are not as fiercely ideological or uncompromising as others in the party, but nonetheless remain a reliable supporter. If you could have your way, you'd like to see Democrats leaders take a slightly more accommodating approach on certain issues – and dial down some of their nakedly partisan and bitterly divisive rhetoric."

those 2 quizzes aren't the greatest, but it's sad when I, of all people, get painted as a Democrat...TWICE.

in reality, it's more like this:

Social libertarian

Fiscally, I can't make up my mind between socialist and fiscal conservatism. I guess I'd prefer a combination, where the government actually has the sense to know what social causes are worth spending money on without wasting it on pork.

economic / fiscal - conservative / libertarian
involvement / social - libertarian / liberal

mostly....

basically, i dont like the current tax system, size and obtrusiveness of government, the problem are all the idiots that the government tries to protect (and protect others from). socially, i'm more of a anti-PC, freedom advocate though again idiots can ruin it

I don't really lean any one way.

I'm conservative on some things, liberal on others, libertarian about other things...

so you're a pragmatist

which is ultimately exactly what i am

but i find the moderately libertarian solution to be the pragmatic one, most of the time (although i do deviate from that ideology from time to time)

Libertarian Ideological Extremist

Anarcho-Capitalist if you prefer.

I believe that it is never legitimate to initiate the use of force to violate the life, liberty or property of another.

I believe that any institution which exits as legal monopoly on the initiation of force (ie. the government) is inherently illegitimate and that it can only result in evil.

I acknowledge that some of the services which the government provides (usually badly) are vital to the functioning of society, but I contend that competative, free-market firms could (and often already do) provide them cheaper, better and without having to resort of evil means.
