How to be a bad fan

1)absolutely show no support in the favor of desired program
2)constantly complain about every aspect of it
3)Disrespect those of us (few in numbers) who stick with the program
(a)not saying that you have to agree with everything said, but atleast have a logical rational input
4)take it out on the players!!!sometimes its not always their fault
5)claim you're a good fan, when you do all of the above

If any of these apply to you, then you're probably a bad fan. There is no need to look in the mirror, your answer is right here. Most of you are in denial. But the first thing when dealing with a problem is recognizing that you have one first.

1) I go to games, cheer loud and often as hell(when ncsu is on defense or makes a good offensive play, mind you). going to games and cheering is pretty much the DICTIONARY DEFINITION of supporting an athletic team.
2) The only thing i have complained about is the poor quarterback play. if you don't believe me, read through the thread again
3) the only person here I have disrespected is you for calling me a bad fan with no legitimate basis of argument. you claim that i complain about everything when the only thing i have complained even a little about is marcus stone. you pretty much deserve to be disrespected if you're going to put words in my mouth.
4) you can often tell when something is a players fault or not. for example: TA McLendon fumbling is nobody but TA McLendon's fault.
5) i do none of the above beyond reason, and go to every home game, every bowl game, some away games cheer as loud as anyone at all of the above.

conclusions: i'm not a bad fan. you are arrogant and stuck up.

NC State could very well be in the ACC title game this year, just trust in our coaches and players people.

from reading this thread, i couldnt help but to jump in. there is a line between being a bad fan and just being over analytical. Most of us want to see or expect alot more from our team, in comparison to previous pack teams. Honestly this team is not that bad, and I dont want to rob them from a fair shot at being a contender this year.

My expectation were not that high to begin with. So I was not upset at this wknds game. I think we have a shot. Ofcourse I saw alot of things I disliked, but that won't overcome my spirit.

I don't think we're the worst team ever but to say we are going to be in the ACC Championship is borderline lunacy. We have no passing game to speak of, we have a weaker defense, a RB that will be facing defenses stacking the line all year long, and a history of being very undisciplined...

I certainly hope we do well but I just wouldn't be shocked with a 1 or 2 win ACC year....

Herb took us from shit to NIT to Sweet 16 and top 4 consistently in the ACC (The BEST basketball conference.)

Chuck has taken an already middle of the road ACC team to a BOTTOM ACC team.

we scored 17 points in our last quarter man 17 points. if we can do anything near that we will be fine on offense.

we converted on 2nd 35 4th and 5
evertyhgin broke down on a 3rd down and stone ran around and found baker.

if that snap doesnt magically bounce forward 10 yards we win the game. how many times has a snapped done that? we may have converted the 4th and 1 and we may have stopped the guy at the endzone. if we don't run out on the field we win the game. we played a good football game aside from the sillyness.

but right now is what counts and it looked like our offense got it together. amato talked about how stone was amazing in practice and just needed a spark to lose nervousness during games and that 4th qtr did it.
