this one is gonna suck, its gonna be over the top with gay CGI action scenes and retarded unrealistic stunts. the first one is really the only good one, they just kept getting wackier and wackier each time thus culminating in this one. the first one was good casue it was just one man pitting wits against a bunch of terrorists with cool shoot outs, it didnt need over the top action scenes

this movie will most definitely be fun, people might say the 2nd and 3rd were shit, but hell they were fun, entertaining movies. no one's expecting a best original screenplay oscar I hope.

Nope.

Definitely sucks that its PG13. I freaking loved Sgt. Lorenzo in Die Hard 2 with his freaking sailer mouth.

By the way, Anchor Man was rated PG13, and he says "Go fuck yourself San Diego" and after that he's outside yelling, "I would never fucking say fuck! Don't you know I would never fucking say fuck!" But maybe that was just on the dvd...

OT, I really freaking hope the Die Hard trilogy comes out on Blu-ray. Apparently they say on the new re-releases of the trilogy that they are coming soon, but we'll see. I would actually purchase those at full price if/when they come out.

PG-13 movies can get away with one or two fucks. Forrest Gump is PG-13 and it has "fuck" in it.

Apparently you can change the "u" in "fuck" to an "o" and suddenly it doesn't matter anymore.

this movie was actually pretty awesome. forget the pg13 rating. It really doesn't feel like one. There's plenty of language and violence in it. Let me put it this way, if they would have rated R i certainly wouldn't have been like, "why was this rated R... "

And if you're worried about Justin Long, he's actually pretty good for his part and adds some laughs.

Sure as in any Die Hard film you have to check your brain at the door and just enjoy it without questioning how realistic some scenes are, but it's very entertaining.

yeah, i pretty much agree with thorsten, it doesn't feel like a pg-13 movie at all, was pretty damn entertaining. biggest problem i had with it is all the computer shit, just like in any movie with computers (hackers, swordfish, etc.) hollywood would have you belive that they are powered by magic and are capable of absolutely anything, but other than that, pretty damn good.

yeah, that's annoying, but to be fair they did spend a fair amount of time at the beginning of the movie establishing that this guy (and his buddies) was among the best of the best... so i can accept the idea that he's somewhat more knowledgeable than the average Tech Talker...

i was just eh on the "I'm young, i know computers inside and out, you're old, you know nothing about computers and they scare you terribly" part... although it was funny when i was leaving the theater and this older (not elder, just older) woman was talking to another woman about the guy she was there with... she said "he liked it, except for all that computer stuff"...

oh, and i sure as hell had no idea that that was a PG-13 movie... definitely didn't feel like one... i guess the MPAA's relaxed their violence requirements...

^i noticed that too. actually my whole group noticed that. I really think it had to do with them trying to rid out some of the F*bombs. Cause you could here justin long speak when they were focused on bruce, but it wasn't what justin was saying when you saw him in the background. There were a lot of times where the F*bomb should have been heard and it kinda seemed like they weeved around it but the editing is good for the most part.

Overall I thought it was a fun movie and I enjoyed it. I love Bruce Willis so I always go in with the notion that I am going to love the movie and I really did for the most part. I honestly thought some parts, especially the whole thing with the F35 jet and the highway ramps should have been scrapped and the more I think about it, they probably would have been if this were an R rated movie. I would have liked to see a little more Gabriel/McClane but the way it was handled was fuckin sweet.

I read a review this morning in the charlotte observer blasting this movie and calling Willis the bald terminator. Yeah its over the top and he is a lot more indestructable than he was in the first 3 but the movie still kicks a ton of ass.
