mhum, yeah - gotta like wikipedia

Quote :
"The "rat king" which was discovered in 1963 by the farmer P. van Nijnatten at Rucphen (Netherlands) as published by cryptozoologist M. Schneider consists of seven rats. X-ray images show formations of callus at the fractures of their tails which proves that these animals must have survived an extended period of time under those circumstances and also been fed by fellow rats. The number of adult animals among rat kings supports this theory, too.

I am the rat king."

So, the DVR guide was wrong last week, obviously, but this week should in fact be the episode with Conan.

FWIW.

oh, right - i forgot about her doing Liz Taylor last week already.

i think it's cool they're using SNL members and other NBC people (conan was great, and I think they made his hair even taller for this show), but I was less than impressed with Chris Parnell's Dr. Spaceman character.... that was basically just Parnell acting like a smarmy stiff, like he usually does.

This show is pretty good, but I worry it's going to get old quickly. Maybe it's just Baldwin's charachter though. It just doesn't seem like his charachter has much room to develop.

i thought this was another excellent show

but manoman i love it when tracy morgan is the focus

like last week when his meds got mixed up

gg for rachel dratch, though for taking it like a champ with losing the lead and being an awesome character actor

you can't do every show about tracy

it's like tracy deciding to pick the star jones skit instead of the other skit

it wouldn't have been as funny tonight if it was about tracy

I think with three dynamite comic characters (Jack, Tracy, Kenneth) plus sympathetic leads and a very strong supporting cast, this show has a lot of places to go.

BTW, it's been picked up for the remainder of the season. As far as I can tell, the initial order was eleven episodes so it'll likely be a back nine, but it could be twelve. Next week's is "The C Word."

i think it was a rerun - i think all the shows are reruns between xmas and new years because so many people are traveling. My DVR didn't record it automatically because i have it set to record first run only. Either way, i thought it was great. very very funny

ah ha. oh man that's so wrong..... Kenneth = Norman Bates

Tina Fey is so much better on this show than she ever was on SNL. She's really dynamic and natural. I don't know of anyone else who could use the expression "oh, NERDS!" and make it believable.

^ Which is weird, since I thought it was

A) generally lackluster compared to some of the others
B) a plot I've seen fifteen times before

Every show with an all-powerful male character turns him to jello when confronted by his mother (can I get a SIMPSONS DID IT?), but not every show has someone doing the robot backwards into a store.

^agreed.

the best scene on the show I've seen so far was in the first 30 seconds of the show that I watched several weeks ago (which was also the best episode i've seen yet, followed by the one where Jack thought Liz was a lesbian, which I'm geussing was a rerun from a much earlier show). It was when Liz was dating Dennis and she came home to find his cousin's dog there.

Liz: "why is this dog here?"
Dennis: "that's my cousin's. he broke his ankle running from 2 black guys who pulled a gun on him"
"why did you feel it was necessary to point out that the muggers were black?"
"they weren't muggers. they were cops. and you're racist for automatically assuming the black guys were muggers"

^ the best part of that scene was when his friend was the one in the bed like 5 seconds after they had that convo

you assume the cousin is laying in a hospital somewhere and that's why he's taking care of the dog
and then there he is.
