i almost got a gs500 but then i was like.. for 1000 more i can get an sv650.. so that's what i did.

ppl on the svrider.com site say sv650's arent good starter bikes.. imo you need to start off on something that you can grow into, not too small.

i started on a gsxr600, that was a bad idea. if i had to do it again i would still probably would though .


also when you go and see these bikes make sure u take someone who knows about bikes.

my gsxr 600 that i bought on a whim had rust in the gas tank, sluggish carbs, busted fork seals and needed a new chain.
