I also hate when people use that word in relationship to workouts.

right.... says the guy who states that a case of beer each week is 34.23 annual pounds of fat without mentioning that a 200 lb, 5'10" 25 year old needs 230 pounds of fat consumption annually just to stay the same weight.

have fun being 'that guy', though, always bragging about how in shape you are.

You get that fat through meats, nuts, cooking oils, dairy, and other places.

exactly. while "34 pounds of fat from alcohol consumption" is way too much, it's not, by itself, going to make you fat. it's the other shit you are doing, too. and then he played the "alcoholic" card so I know exactly what kind of douchebag this guy is.

He wasn't justifying drinking. He isn't approaching it from an alch stand point as he only drinks 4 times a year.

He's just trying to make people who drink look like dumbasses since he throws out statistics based on a CASE A WEEK for 52 STRAIGHT WEEKS. That's his shit for brains "alchy standpoint". Give me a break. He drinks four times a year because he's 'that guy'.

"Fuck that dude I'm not getting a drink with you--I gotta look out for my guns, man."

the more you bitch and moan about how you can justify drinking that much, the more you sound like a raging alcoholic in denial of your own addiction.

maybe. I'd probably need to get an idea of how much you're currently eating and what your goals are, and some other people in here could help make suggestions.

are you looking for food suggestions or a laid out balanced diet to follow every day?

my eatting varies day to day...some days its about 500-1000...other days its 3000+ i'm sure

the type of diet i want is one of those ones where like i eat what i'm supposed to at the best times...like i'm gonna start working out and i want to make sure to eat protein at the best times

i think a good 2200 calorie or so diet would be good

i tried to think about it the other day and what i came up with was a protein shake in the morning...maybe a snack between then and lunch, then have a tuna sandwich(my tuna sandwiches are just 2 pieces of bread and the tuna...not that mayo stuff)...figured i could have another snack somewhere in between then and dinner...then before i go to bed have another protein shake

one problem i've had with making a diet like that is most of my snacks are little debbie...as for my lunch and dinner proportions, i'd like to make them smaller yet more efficient, so that i could eat 6 times a day, spread out(i heard thats like the best way is 6 meals instead of 3)

ok thats about all i could think of right now...if u want to pm me and not get this thread sidetracked thats fine too

I'm not justifying anything. I'm simply stating that the calories consumed by drinking a "case a week" -- WHICH IS TOO MUCH, IMO -- are not as great as you seem to imply.

^^

i don't take any supplements outside of a protein shake. i only do the protein shakes after i lift which is once a week usually. sometimes i'll have the shake if i don't feel like fixing something to eat but want to protein and feeling of being full

My diet is pretty simple. I actually eat a turkey wrap every morning for breakfast. I'm lactose intolerant so I don't like things like cereal...so I just warm up a tortilla (173 calories) + 2 servings of turkey (150 calories) + a little horseradish (60 calories) for breakfast. keeps me pretty full until i get into work. i usually have a handful of almonds or something else to snack on that's about 200-250 calories halfway between breakfast and lunch, something higher in protein so it keeps me full. lunch is something like a turkey sandwich, chicken breast and rice, or something along those lines. snack some more after lunch, something like pretzels (not that healthy but something to eat). workout and then have dinner. could be some tuna or chicken or ground turkey or pasta, really i don't worry about it too much after working out because i know i'm going to work it off the next day. i always take one day where i have what i want to eat for dinner, that's usually the day i do athletic conditioning and lift weights.

My current weight is somewhere between 185-190lbs. I started at 258lbs. Not sure what my body fat % is right now, haven't had it checked lately.

all you have to do is run like 5 or 6 miles a day with one rest day a week. you can eat what ever you want, continue drinking 4 times a week...works for me

thats pretty sick to lose 70 lbs like that.

I never understood why more people dont just do that.

The fact is that being fat sucks. People look at you like you're a piece of shit loser and girls wont even consider goingdown on you for sport.

with a few hours of exercise and some dietary restraint you can actually enjoy life

for those that cant even fathom the idea of running more than a mile...SUCK IT THE FUCK UP. ANYONE can do it, i have been saying this for years to all my friends and anyone who asks how to stay in good shape. start small, start slow... and just build yourself up to it, you will feel incredible after you build up to a 5 miler and then 10 and even beyond.

hey yall im heading out the door for a 7 miler, catch me if you can
