you cant possibly justify the statement that TOB has reached his ceiling, especially based on the recruiting he's done at BC, which has been less than stellar. Yet he still competes for championships. Now

A coach who has won at every level, an OC who has turned down prime positions in the past and is considered the best up and coming coach, and a coach who has a history of winning on the college level.

As for recruiting, that's even scarier. I don't think Tom O'Brien knows what to do when he meets with a recruit. If Chuck Amato can sell NC State to kids in Florida who had no idea that we even existed, then Tom O'Brien should have been able to sell BC to recruits, especially considering it's history.

Likewise, BC is in championship contention just like NC State is every year. Lots of talk but when it comes to playing big games, they lose.

TOB is the best coach in the HISTORY of Boston College. If it weren't for Flutie, they wouldnt have shit. His average recruiting class at BC has been in the 40's over the last 6 years, as opposed to Amato's average around 20....yet they are still in better shape than we are.


He WILL recruit better to NC State than he could to Boston College. Hands down. A couple of our recruits have already said they are excited about playing for him.
