into JAZZ



Even with cost the sticker set, I'll have a bigger, more detailed, more articulated Jazz for less than a reissue would cost on ebay (and the reissue has a problem with the face mold).

^^^ That decal set makes a world of difference. I didn't want Meister/Jazz until after I saw it.

Also, the LeMans set for Tracks is nice as well. I always liked the Anniversary 'Vette best.

And BigMan157, I recently got my hands on an Optimal Optimus/Dragon Megatron twin pick. They're fucking niiiice and take like 20 minutes to transform each.

They have knockoffs of the dragon Megatron at Big Lots for like $4. They're in different colors that I actually like more (there's gold and a dark green/grey), but the mold is exactly the same. I hate that mold, but FWIW, they're there.

As for the Unicron figure...he's no match for Fort Max.

Hell. Yes. (But I've only bought labels for 2 of them. )

I have two whole shelves chock full of Binaltech (from Japan) and a few Alternators. Most people who see them completely mistake them for model cars. Takara has come a long way with their engineering since the 80's.

Alternators/Binaltech are pretty fucking amazing. I never had anything past G2 and Beast Wars didn't interest me, and I only jumped back in when the Classics line came out and I found a new Transformer with some sort of reference point for me. While the Alternators have quite a bit of robot grounding in G1, the fact is that they're a million times better in both alt. and robot modes than the G1 figures ever were, and after I finally grabbed one, I have no desire to spend big bucks on an articulationless block in a pretty box when I can get such a cool toy for less.

It's on walmart.com and it's supposed to be a "featured item" in stores next week.

I'm disappointed with the non-green/purple limbs, the claw hands, and the doubled molds, but he's so much cheaper than a G1 and I'm pretty sure the playability is greater. Plus, he *is* tall. I've got another prospect I'm looking at, but we'll see when he actually rolls into a Wally World if I'll pick him up.

P.S. This newfound affinity for Transformers is both awesome, nerdy, and retardedly expensive.

I finally snagged a 20th Anniv. Prime on clearance when I was at Wal-Mart.

Holy shit.

This one is the DVD edition. A lot of people don't like it because the colors have changed and there's no chrome, but since my reference point for Prime was the show/movie and not the G1 toy, I actually like the cartoon look of it. The red is a tad light, but I also got it on the cheap. The feet are especially impressive to me.

That's a much cooler robot mode for Armorhide than I would've expected.

I haven't seen anything but Cybertron Defense: Red Alert, though the big Wal-Mart on 64 had a bunch of 6" Titaniums, including Thundercracker, who looks AWESOME...but I resisted.

Yeah, Smokescreen doesn't go back together very well...and the spring on one of my pop-up missle racks came off the day I got him, so he can't arm himself properly .
