Martin Luther is as a respectable a historian as there is for that era (if not among the most respectable...especially in the view of modern-day Protestants).

Defending your opinion with just one source is not a very effective method. As you yourself say, everyone has bias, so finding supporting evidence from multiple sources would really help to defend your stance. So if you could find another historian or economist, preferably a modern one, that agrees with your claim of Jews wrecking the economies, then you might have something.

So, was Dr Halsall smearing Luther's comments when he makes the following statement in the top part of the pages you've been linking in this thread?

I didn't smear anyone. I put his views in a historical context. You're simply trying to misrepresent my input because it hurts your case.

So you admit that he is biased. Find a modern history that explains jews wrecking the economies of medieval Europe in a context other than in an anti-semitic diatribe.

You could also try to find a modern and unbiased source that shows that his views on jews hold more water than his views on the solar system.
