Leave it to Audi to make the most beautiful wagons in the world.
New Audi S3 Sportback Revealed
Quote : | "Along with the release of Audi's facelifted A3 comes the range-topping S3 Sportback, joining its 3-door S3 sibling at the top of the current A3 food chain. The S3 Sportback uses the same re-engineered, direct-injection turbo 2.0 TFSI engine as the S3 producing 265 hp (195 kW) with 350 Nm of torque." |
Audi RS6 Sedan
Thank God they are changing the taillights from the current A6's.
The same 580 bhp engine as in the station wagon at the top of this page. Weird that the station wagon came out a year before the sedan.

an R8 was in my run group last time at VIR. It was quite exciting to stick to his ass through the VIRN crossover in a POS E30.
(yes i realize he was likely being cautious in a $120k car and that an R8 > E30) 5/18/2008 10:32:58 AM |

I don't know why so many ppl have a hard on for the potentially forthcoming V12 diesel R8. I'd prefer the lighter V10 model coming out any day of the week. What do you prefer, an engine that dies at 4500rpm and sounds crappy doing it, or a V10 shreaking over 8k?

check this out, which no one thought Audi would make:
Audi TT Clubsport Quattro Revealed
Quote : | "The cat is out the bag – Audi has officially revealed the production TT Clubsport Quattro after a series of spy shots have plagued the internet for the last week. We thought there was little chance of the concept version ever spawning what you see before you, but we have no problem with being proved wrong on this occasion.
Surely the most eye catching element of this car is the open cockpit with the low windscreen featuring the almost none existent A-pillars creating a nice curvaceous effect round to the side windows. The high rising roll bars behind the seats make up for the low A-pillars meaning the occupants are still protected should the vehicle roll over.
Under the hood we find the 2.0-liter turbocharged four-cylinder gasoline engine which pumps out over 300 horsepower mated to the S tronic duel clutch transmission which is then passed to the wheels via the Quattro 4WD system. A powerful brake system borrowed from the TTS completes the model." |
this car is damn hot!
Here is the concept version, which came out last year:

Quote : | "Audi S4 (B8)
The sports version of the current generation A4 will see the 4.2-liter V8 from the B7 generation get dropped, and instead, return to its B5 roots with the all new 245kW (333hp) 3.0-liter V6 bi-turbo TFSI. Available in Avant form as well as sedan, the S4 will be available in 6-speed manual transmission or double-clutch 7-speed S-tronic.
Audi S5
The Audi S5 coupe will keep its 4.2-liter V8 for now, but starting in September 2010 the bi-turbo 3.0-liter TFSI V6 as seen in the S4 will replace it. Despite the horsepower reduction from the V8's 260kW (354hp) versus the V6's 245kW (333hp), it's possible the weight savings as well as lower center of gravity of the smaller engine compensates for the reduction in output." |

Meet the M5 and E63 AMG slayer. The sedan has been released now, the Avant (wagon) came out last year.
Bloody gorgeous. I do wish it had 4 tailpipes to fill out the space at the back (and to make it look more aggressive), like the M5 and the E63. Interestingly enough, the S6 comes with 4 tailpipes (smaller in diameter), and this RS6 with 2 fat ones.

Crazy ass power specs, but the looks don't really do it for me. And correct me if I'm wrong but its not being sold in the US?

Its the same way with the S4 and RS4. My guess is the RS models make do with two fat pipes.8/12/2008 8:39:31 PM |

Well the sedan is not on sale yet anywhere. It will go on sale soon and I bet thy wil bring it to the US to compete with the M5 and the E63 AMG. I am guessing the US is the biggest market for those hypersedans. You are thinking of the Avant that was released last year, which Audi decided not to sell in the US. Just as well, as the M5 and E63 AMG wagons are not sold in the US.
Quote : | "My guess is the RS models make do with two fat pipes." |
Yeah... I wish it was the other way around. RS models need 4 to look the part, as well as to look competitive against the BMW Ms and the MB AMGs.8/12/2008 9:48:35 PM |

Vizualtech R 8.8 BioCat inspired by Audi R8
Quote : | "Swedish company Vizualtech has designed a 8.8 meter (29 feet) long catamaran with inspiration from the Audi R8.
It was designed for a Dubai race boat company. Power comes either from a modified biodiesel V10 engine or from two smaller V8 engines with 320 hp.
Estimated top speed is around 110 mph. Materials used are very light and strong. This is the first catamaran we have ever seen that comes with gullwing doors." |
