I thought Hickson looked decent. You have to remember, none of these kids have ever really played against any type of competition...they're used to just dunking all over people.

His potential is high, and he's actually shown some strong moves under the basket on offense and defense. He's doing a good job of at least blocking out and always seems to be around the ball on rebounds.



I hate this shit though....it's all guard driven becuase they want to light up the scoreboard. All I've seen is dumb jumpshots and 3's. It seems the only way the bigs score is a fast break or an offensive reb.

Exactly. Fells has the speed and length to be a good 2 defender, not Grant. Fells has shown how good he can be. With consistency, he is easily a starter. Grant stays 3, Costner stays 4, McCauley stays 5. Any new person who comes in doesn't have the skills or experience. I'm guessing by minutes logged, we have one of the most experienced starting line ups in the ACC.

No offense to fucking David Glenn, who is hardly a basketball jesus.

duke's guys look really good and fundamentally sound (which is what is usually the best projector of who will make an impact immediately). smith will start a lot of games moving paulus to off guard a lot imo...

hickson is a beast. he'll see a ton of minutes next year.

beasley was impressive as well.

mayo sucked when i saw him in person, and sucked worse tonight. he's selfish, takes bad shots, has a bad attitude, and will generally be bad news for any legit team that won't tolerate a guy shooting 20 times with open teammates on half of his shots.

The only one and done guys so far (Bosh, Melo, Oden, Durant) have shown signs of dominance, Mayo displayed no such characteristics, he missed many wide open shots, this is not what D-I athletes do, much less PAC 10. The Conalathes kid was miserable, no court awareness whatsoever, he left 4 very easy assists out on the floor today, including the game tying basket if he would have realized a one handed under handed shot was less likley than passing it to a cutter for the jam. Why did Chris Wright get such little PT tonight?
