*sigh*...whatever happened to the days when the fucking teenagers had to do this kind of stuff? The only people whose jobs the immigrants are taking are spoiled high-school kids whose parents are too pansy to actually make them work anymore.

I wouldn't require constant monitoring of their whereabouts or what they are doing. Once they were OK'd to enter, we leave them alone to find work.
Other businesses who are looking for immigrant workers could even work in tandom with the gate-keeping companies. Entering immigrants could review job openings all over the country. Now they can't go on welfare or commit serious crimes. If they do, they go back and we figure out which gate-keeping station let them in and they get a black mark. Too many black marks and your business is shut down.
Mexican president Fox is eager to send workers to the US. So we tell him to work with these gate-keeper stations. To help supply the information we will need on each entering immigrant.
You could give each cleared immigrant a pass they can use to get back into the states after visiting their home country. Or if you want to have extra security, require them to go through the whole process again.
We should get this idea through, Revolt. Then you and I can start one of the first gate-keeping companies and make millions.

i think you seriously underestimate the upfront cost this would require from the government.
although, if we left iraq we might be able to afford it... 4/11/2007 11:27:46 PM |
