1. I will use the power of a 600. I can't really exploit a 1000's power, and neither can you.
2. I don't need 1000cc to impress anyone, even if I was buying a bike for the purpose of impressing people. In fact, it's more impressive to haul ass on a 600.

Nothing wrong with 1000's, though I think they're built for ignorant riders who think "bigger is better" in a race/track situation. I gotta agree with Duke on most of that stuff, we had ridden together back int eh "day" and I remember him on a 600 ouriding guys on bigger bike (I also remember a few accidents and a dent in Chad's muffler from some showboating) but hell last time I went riding with a guy on an R1 I was killing it inthe curves and he woudl jsut run it up on the straits cause he was no good at riding it.

As for the buell, best handling bike there is hands down, disagree with me if you want to but you put equal rider to equal rider and the buell handles world class, only goes 140, but that is a different story.
