I started a new job back in November that I got through LinkedIn jobs. Had a friend who worked at a company, they posted an opening in the jobs section, and he put in a referral for me. Definitely useful to keep your profile up to date and build your network before you ever need to start looking for a job.

I've been getting contacted a lot recently by recruiters who find me on LinkedIn. I don't really participate in groups, though I am part of a ton of them.

A few recruiters have been getting ballsy, calling the main company line trying to get in touch with me rather than sending a message.
