Very high settings are only available in DX10 unless you do a cfg hack. 11/16/2007 5:41:00 PM |

You can take shortcuts/longcuts and pretty much complete the missions however you want in terms of killling the enemy. You also have the option to play whatever type of character you like. Stealthy sniper, or max strength picking up guys and tossing them in the air." |
Did you ever get the chance to play Farcry? I liked it for this very reason.11/18/2007 5:19:32 PM |

ending was kind of meh...should have ended it before the last level, and not have used cliched end game boss battles. 11/20/2007 2:55:05 PM |

Quote : | "A Crysis Chat Log on inCrysis recaps last night's IRC session (story) with Crytek's Cevat Yerli and NVIDIA's Roy Taylor discussing the just-released first-person shooter. Technical topics are the focus, touching on questions about XP performance versus Vista and things like that. Word from NVIDIA is to expect performance improvements "almost with every single driver drop and patch of the game," and there's also word from Crytek on when to expect the first patch for the game: "We are collecting up all the user feedback now and planning patches that will address as much as possible as fast as possible. The first patch will be out in 7-14 days." " |
That's good news.

I wouldn't get too excited about patches with Crytek.
I was heavily involved in the Far Cry community and every patch Crytek released changed the gameplay dramatically and did very little for bugs/performance. The last patch released after the community had been active for over 3 years basically killed what was left of the Far Cry community. 11/21/2007 10:23:42 AM |

If you look at the last 2-3 beta drivers released for crysis from nvidia. They all drastically increased performance. I'm talking like 8-10 fps gain on the current .09 beta compared to the one a few weeks before that. 11/21/2007 2:59:31 PM |

just got the game and I'm about to beat it (I think?)
awesome graphics and great game play up until the point I'm at right now
I'm in the trippy alien ship thing and it's beginning to piss me off. I'm tired of shooting at weird looking blobs and I would like the chance to be able to shoot more Koreans.
Also, I hated the lack of variety in the guns in this game. I wish I was able to use more of the American guns but I was stuck with shitty Korean guns the entire game (until the end when I finally get the minigun).
