sorry for the slow response, but it is wierd to hear anyone outside of murphy mention hangin dog and crawfords.

i used to go through straps like there was no tomorrow. mostly because when I haul trees the straps are at an angle, therefore they'd rub on the rails. I switched to these straps from AWdirect.com that instead of having the strap go all the way through they switch and have chained ends... doesn't rub. I love them and they come in multiple sizes, i have 3" ones here is a pic of the 2" model.
