I watched the game, and wasn't that impressed with Ronaldo. He should have at least a hat trick. The Milan defense looked old too IMO. Bonnera didn't impress me either.

don't know if this has been mentioned or not, but is there a reason why the champions league matches have not been shown on espn2 or espn classic this year? is this temporary or did they lose out on a contract? any idea what channel the games are on now?

I don't know what you're talking about. They've been showing the games on ESPN2. The thing that pisses me off is that they always show english teams, and not milan.

yea i was wondering about that. ive seen a lot of games this year. and they are about to start up again.

and if speed kills, then chelsea would win the champs league every year

i like clattering midfield defense and long balls that drop perfectly on to a runner, so the italian game doesn't really do anything for me, but i still love hearing "MEEEEEEEEEEEEllaan"

Stalemate thus far between Inter and Liverpool.

Uh oh. As I am typing, Materazzi has been sent off. Questionable call! Liverpool has to be tasting blood now.

Well even though Liverpool had the run of play from the beginning, the unfair yellow cards forced them to play defense the entire game when they're not a typical counterattack, defense-first Italian team. Also, there were a lot of appeals but I only really agreed with Viera's handball as being a penalty -- the others in questions all seemed to me like the defender didn't know much about it and the ball played their arm/hand instead of the other way around
