So, with the iPod classic at $349, and the iPhone at $600, where the hell are they gonna price this thing? I mean, if it's $500, isn't it basically an iPhone that you don't have to activate? Can't you already buy those some places online? 9/5/2007 1:43:59 PM |
FanatiK All American 4248 Posts user info edit post |
The capacities on these will be greatly reduced, methinks... priced the same as the 'classic', but with lower capacities.

I'm betting ~$400-450 ... halfway between a 160gb Classic ($350) and the smaller iPhone ($500) 9/5/2007 1:45:41 PM |

I mean, like I said, I don't think they really have a choice. If they'd put 60GB or more, it would have cost as much, if not more than an iPhone. No one would have bought that. 9/5/2007 1:52:12 PM |

so stupid, i mean come on dude it has to be flash based to make it that small, and i have 8gb and it's plenty, omg you must be that person that thinks they need all 400,000 songs in their music collection with them at ALL times.. i'd glady sacrifice size for speed, wifi, touch capabilities... not to mention a 32gb flash based device would be insanely priced 9/5/2007 1:53:02 PM |

Ok, so expect a larger capacity flash-based Touch sometime next year ... I seriously doubt they'll put a HDD in one. That's what they sell Classics for. 9/5/2007 1:57:43 PM |

My 80 GB is maxed ... so yeah, I'm "that person." I like being able to access almost anything I'd want to hear, whenever I want. Some people want to listen to 20 or 30 albums, I want to listen to 2000 or 3000.

20 or 30 albums? what are you comparing it to a 1gb device?
16gb device can hold ~136 albums, and a video is only about the size of 4 albums 9/5/2007 2:01:18 PM |

Well, apart from adding more storage ... the one other thing that would make this even better is support for bluetooth stereo headphones.
But still, it's awesome, and I know what I'm getting myself for Christmas.

I was just holding out for the "iPod version of the iPhone" and that day has come.
I am quite content with flash. I am too harsh on my tech devices to be carrying a tiny hard disk around with me. I will gladly give up the storage for the ability to jog/hike with it and such. 9/5/2007 2:11:15 PM |
