^ I think what he's saying is that no networks other than VS. are supposed to have any games on, so that if people want to watch hockey, they'll watch the VS. game.

Defense (and backchecking) looked suspect at times, but Cam was stellar...just need to put pucks into open nets.

LaRose was buzzing as per usual.

Hamilton made more of an impression than Letowski did in his first game.

Slideshow needed more Irbe.

Cam was excellent...

I liked what I saw of Hamilton in the first when he was running the point on the PP, then he got benched...

Brind'Amour sucked, lost faceoffs, bad turnovers...

If Commodore's injury is serious, that's gonna be huge as they're thin on D...

Staal is still trying to press too hard...

Team is solid, would definitely like to see them tighen up defensively though

^I've always wondered why he hasn't signed with any team yet. He was actually decent/good last year. I would argue that last year was his best year in the NHL. Anyway, good signing by the Canes. He's still young, the contract was cheap, and with the injuries to Commodore and Hedican, we need an insurance policy. Plus, he's already familiar with the system. The only downside I can think of is that this could hold back the development of our young D-men like Borer, Barbin, Carson.

The young guys are right where they belong, playing every night in Albany. The only thing that would hurt their development would be sitting in the press box in Raleigh after being called up as a precaution.
