what is it with some of you people and not understanding that you can get too drunk without expecting it... people that don't/have never drank, and pass judgment on people who do really piss me off

It's all in good fun. I usually do subscribe to the positions I voice, but often not as vehemently as I present them. I enjoy playing devil's advocate because it hopefully makes people take a more in depth examination of their own position on things.

You've got me wrong. I don't pretend to know HOW drunks think, nor do I want to be an expert on it. I made a conscious decision NOT to take up drinking, because I want to be in control of my actions at all times, and because I observed how it affected others and did not want the real burden of responsibility (thought it so casually brushed aside) that comes with being under the influence of alcohol. I don't need to be an expert on anything other than the possible results to make a decision about whether I should or should not indulge. That's part of being an adult. You can't rely on your friends to always clean up for you when you screw up. Maybe you guys will remember this thread next time a State student kills someone else or themselves while driving drunk. That's when everyone comes out of the woodwork talking about what a tragedy it was. I sit back and think how stupid, predictable, and preventable it was.

But see that's the thing, you're acting as if everyone who ever gets drunk cannot act responsibly...I mean not everyone who gets drunk will go out and drive. Yes some people will, but NOT EVERYONE does. That's generalizing.

You're acting as anytime I State student gets drunk they go and drive. So no, I probably won't think of this thread, I'll think, "man if only they weren't a complete idiot" just like I was thinking the same thing about the roommate who pissed all over his computer.

Granted it's not the same as killing someone, but he ruined something very expensive probably. But not all people who get drunk will go and piss on their computer. I have never done it. I've never been around anyone who has done it. Some people react differently when they drink.

So please don't hold the opinion that everyone who drinks has no responsiblity at all.

And they will. My freshmen year I was getting drunk anytime I could, but over time I don't do it as much. It's part of a college experience. Some people come out of it being very responsible drinkers, other's come out as alcholics, everyone is different.

I don't. Most of my friends drink. Both of my parents drink. My siblings drink. I just don't see why so many of you self-proclaimed "responsible drinkers" want to make excuses for and defend those who clearly do not act responsibly. They are giving you a bad name.

I had a suitemate my sophomore year who got transferred out of his first room in another suite because his roommate took a nice long piss on him while he was sleeping. And not at like the foot of his bed either, all torso.

rofl. one of the drum majors for the marching band a couple of years ago got up out of his bed, in clear line of vision to the rest of us still drinking in the living room, dropped trou, pissed on his bed, which ran all over his laptop.

wakes up that morning when we get back from Bojangles and all we hear is "WHAT THE FUCK WHY WON'T MY LAPTOP WORK. WHY IS IT WET." He turns the laptop sideways and piss runs out of it on the floor

I was over at a friend's apartment years ago and an old friend of his was staying with him. We had all gone to the bar and gotten good and drunk, and that dude couldn't handle himself.

While my friend and I were playing some video games, we heard a noise and looked behind us to see his friend pissing on the futon he had been sleeping on. We yelled at him, but he was completely incoherent, and he ended up laying down in his own piss and passing back out

i had a roommate who pissed on the floor a few times

pissed in his cooler

pissed down the stairs (then walked down the hall and washed his hands in the toilet...didn't even save himself a trip)

pissed in the trash can

pissed in the bucket of an ice cream maker after we'd made some homemade ice cream while cooking out one summer

and worst of all, pissed on the wall one night as I was walking from the couch to my bed with a girl I'd kinda chased for a little and had just started fooling around with that night (who then promptly flipped out and went home)

I pissed in a laundry basket once, in my defense it was white and square and could have looked like a urinal if everything was extremely blurry, there were no clothes in it at the time.
