well, our current chants must work pretty well since just about every member of the visiting teams that have been to CF say it's pretty intimidating. And I've never once heard them say "well...uhm...their 'nnnnnnn ccccc state, nc state' chant it pretty gay". And who gives a fuck what people watching on tv think and our recruits come to the games so they get a pretty good feel for the gameday atmosphere.

you are playing semantics now, nice try - your statement still says from the thread alone you made the deduction that most are fine with it.

The numbers don't lie, and while you are arguing, add one more to the column of people who do not like the chant - making it 18:6 or 3:1.

I mean, I personally don't like it too much and would favor a basic "N-C-STATE" chant. But at the same time, I really don't care enough to change it. Most other people seem to like it enough.

looking at our cheer sheets and making sure not to mess the timing up rather than watching the game

1. SFN started the post, TWW reacted. Plenty of people outside of both msg boards think the chant is trash.

2. Chancellor or institution has nothing to do with a shitty student created modern chant. Stupid joke. Again, a hyperbole to discredit the criticism.

3. You can't leave off your entire sentence...chopping it off like that is like what newspapers do to manipulate a quote. I polled like I did for a reason, so don't try to make me look off-base. i think one of the reasons i dont have a problem with the NNNNNNNN CCCCCCCCC... chant (i've never even heard the first down woof woof woof shit) is because chanting in general can be perceived as gay/lame/whatever...its organized songs and taunts and whatnot that people sing while watching modern day gladiators or whatever...if you're willing to participate in chants in general, i dont know how the NNNNNNNN... chant is so bad

the reason it's so bad, in my opinion, is b/c the NC STATE is said too fast. so it comes out "nnnnnnnnn ccccccccc staaaaaaaate nasd;kljasdfoiue" and it just doesn't get very loud.

slow it down and it's fine, or just chant N - C - STATE or wolf/pack... just something that doesn't get that fast.
