I just got caught up on the progress of this. IANAL but, you should have been able to amend your original suit instead of being forced to refile.

I WON!! Their lawyer and the judge knew each other. They tried to argue that 7 months to fix an AC unit is reasonable.

Hopefully this time they will just fork over the cash and not appeal.

Basically i won, its over. They paid me close to $1000.00 I went and picked up my check yesterday from the court house.

Moral of the story, sue the landlord not the property manager. Dont back down
