I didn't say you would. That doesn't mean a large majority of girls aren't slaves to fashion trends. 11/7/2007 6:12:10 PM

You mean because women are even more easily lead than the general population? The fashion industry is one of those things that makes me constantly question the intelligence of even the smartest women that I know. 11/7/2007 6:14:19 PM

A short list of other stupid female fashion decisions:
Uggs Empier dresses (pretty similar to these preggo dresses in many ways actually) galoshes worn as normal shoes bug eye sunglasses 11/7/2007 6:25:50 PM

No, not on the whole.
But fashion choices can be so tied to acceptance in female groups (even when you're young, really) and therefore self-esteem that I can see how it'd be important to a great many of them. 11/7/2007 6:26:46 PM

^^ I would have to say that in one respect or another, all women are subject to fashion trends. Whether you think it or not. It's like that part in The Devil Wears Prada about the blue sweater.... if you've seen it, it makes sense ![](images/smile.gif) 11/7/2007 6:30:07 PM

You're right about that. I just mean the ones who pay attention to the newest fashion trend and follow suit as quickly as possible. 11/7/2007 6:37:02 PM

I think the style is cute.
And you can't really call them tit curtains. The people who typically wear them don't have much titty to cover up, which is why the style looks good on them. Imagine if those models in the first picture actually had decent-sized boobs...the shirts would look even goofier.
^Yeah, I left all my clothes at home, and I'm too lazy to go get them. So for the past three months, I've been rotating two ugly shirts, three shirts that are too small, and two grease-stained polos. And I don't care at all. College is the one time in your life that you can wear whatever you want. In high school, there's a dress code. Almost every job out there, there's a dress code--a suit and tie, construction boots, or logo polo...it doesn't matter, you still have to wear what they tell you to. I encourage you all to wear what you feel like while you can, regardless of whether or not some dude thinks it makes you look pregnant.

I don't understand the second one. The empire waist is a mainstay. Women were wearing that like a thousand years ago.

you make a very valid point there. I liked coming to college because I can wear shorts/skirts without someone saying "too short, you have to go home" if it was shorter than your knees. and yet the fatties got away with it because it passed their hand length rule. ![](images/mad.gif) 11/7/2007 7:48:49 PM

As a girl, I can tell you that I am in complete agreement. These are like those tops that were/are popular...the one's that are tighter around the boobs and then flowy...very flowy, from there down. I mean some are better fitted than others but for the most part, they too make you look preggers. 11/7/2007 9:13:44 PM

I think that this fall's trend is kinda awesome, but only because I am pregnant and I've been able to get away without buying all of my clothes in the maternity department. But yeah, dude, most of the fall fashions look JUST LIKE everything that I find in the maternity stores. 11/7/2007 10:02:16 PM
