As one of those border kids (1980 here) I don't feel I'm really Gen X, but I'm certainly not a Millennial either. Millenials overlap heavily with the "digital natives" who don't remember life before computers in the home (yes, some people of my age had them from young childhood, but not most), Nintendo, and common cell phones/PDAs/laptops.

Some of the things becoming common today befuddle me though. The "helicopter parents" in particular who are there at every beck and call (sometimes unheeded) to advocate/harrass/bully for their students in college and even in the early work world seem completely foreign to me. Also, I would have been starkly ashamed to move back home after college--while it might be a sound financial decision, whatever happened to being independent and starting your own life?

Agreed that anyone pays attention to the news would know that she's possibly going to be appointed to Clinton's Senate seat even though she doesn't have political experience and wouldn't even be considered if she wasn't a Kennedy.

However, before this news broke, why should it have been common knowledge that she was JFK's daughter? Is there a part of the civics books that are supposed to outline every President's family for us to memorize?

Also, the quote from the article is misleading:
