where's the old-school music??? At least make the music a remix of it that's not done as shittily as the rest of the show.

I want to like it, I really do, but this seems like it was written by people that got fired from WCW and the WWE didn't pick up.

yea.... shes, umm.... kinda hot.

She's the anti-Fury. Fury looks like what would happen if Sporty spice was date raped by Baraka.

so yea i don't get why they try the handbike. if someone is winning by a lot, the handbike is always where they fuck up and the other person catches up, because they actually try to do it. then the other person "slips" and makes up mucho time-o.

Why aren't the gladiators involved in the eliminator at all?

The conversations are the worst part of the show. Seems like the contestants are told to give "polite trash talking". It would be a lot more impressive if they were allowed to talk like a pro athlete coming off the field/floor.

I also annoyed with the "home made" signs that the audience holds up for the Gladiators. C'mon, none of them had ever seen the show before being in the audience!

I love the contests, both the old favorites and the new additions.

The hand bike seems a lot harder than it used to be. Guys used to be able to dominate that thing, but the girls usually had it tougher. Also, what is going on with the incline treadmill in this one? No one can just run up the thing, they all just pass out! That's pretty weak.

Also, I think the gladiators need to practice these events more. Looks like none of them have ever even tried hang tough or know how to climb up the wall.

And definitely quit feeding the contestants nines. Just let them say whatever they want to say.

Good show though, I'm enjoying it.

Good show so far. But, have Americans gotten less athletic? I mean, both contestants and gladiators just seem to lack skill like the 90's. I mean, most of the contestants gas out before they even reach the end. And the gladiators aren't as big. Is it just me?

it seems like falling off the handbike and climbing up the ladder is faster than using the handbike and saves you tons of energy

if i remember correctly you had to take a 10 second penalty if you fell in the old version

In the old one, a few of the gladiators were placed at points around the eliminator to administer the penalties, and then at the end you had to do something to get by them as well.

It seems like the arena they are using to tape the show isn't as large as the original, seems to make all the events more compact and limit the eliminator.

Also, I'm still pissed in the one the other night that the one guy used the outside of the tredmill to get himself up and finish off the event. He was WAY behind and basically cheated. The tredmill should be at the start and the wall should be at the end.

yay i finally caught it. it does seem a bit overproduced. the last one seemed like an actual sporting event getting taped. this one not so much.

This shit is painful to watch.

All they had to do was copy the old one exactly, and they fucked it up somehow. And I've said it before but the arena they are using is way to small, it is def limiting the events. The assault course and eliminator are all to compact. Plus the eliminator fucking sucks, why would anyone do that cylinder roll thing or the hand bike, you're better off just jumping past them and climbing back up. Plus they're all so fucking tired by the end they can't get up the damn tredmill.

lower budget (get rid of hulk and ali)
get a bigger area
make the gladiators just try to be bad ass, not give them characters (wtf is up with Toa?)
move it to compete with the Price is Right

Have you noticed that most of the black competitors have struggled through the underwater part of the Eliminator? Just an observation I made.

Gladiators just don't seem as good as they used to be. Must be the lack of steroids.

Titan is the most plastic, corniest Gladiator.

"This guy is a warrior. He's a warrior. THAT is American Gladiators."
"You're only as good as the guy you're up against,..."

Force-fed bullshit.

Toa is actually The Rock's cousin and the guy who does all his stuntwork in movies.

Wolf is the shit. "I smell fear. I smell blood. And I'm gonna eat you."

They need to bring back Cannonball, that was a great game. And I like how the Gladiator gets launched if the contestant hits the bullseye on Assault, but the new weapons they have are dumb. They should have kept the old weapons, they seemed to be easier and faster to use.

I don't know if they read the reviews of the show and decided to make editing changes, but the show was considerably less obnoxious this last episode.

The lines weren't overdone and corny and they seemed to use a little less camera switching during the events. It also seems like the athletes have been much better--they don't look like they are about to die when they finish the eliminator.

Anyone have any idea how the final 8 will be run? Also, little dude is fast, and it was embarrassing that the poor cheerleader was about the only one who got stuck on the first wall...

Dammit, I forgot that it was on. I thought it was at 9PM, turned it there to see Bush making an ass of himself. I don't think that I could be more disappointed with what was on TV.

I turned the TV off the moment the credits ended and the State of the Union graphics began. Bless his heart, but listening to Bush speak hurts my head. The thought of Bush making a long speech hurts my head.
