when is the last time Iowa actually selected the eventual winner? I mean, it seems they always pick the eventual looser....will be interesting to see what NH does, if Hill looses NH to him, Obama probably will win SC then, and then it comes to Super Tuesday which is not auto wins for Obama even if he has won all the others.

In his speech he went from talking like a 1960s Civil Rights marcher, to laying down some rhymes, to southern baptist preacher, to White-Black-Guy. I was impressed with how he mixed it up and transitioned to and from each persona.

not positive, but in small precincts where there are only say 3 delegates, and the split might be something like 35% obama 25% edwards 20% clinton, each candidate would still only get one delegate. i'm not exactly positive how they allot the number of delegates to each precinct, but i did hear an interview with a precinct captain who said that regardless of how many showed up to his small district (even though the attendance more than tripled from 2004), he would still get one delegate for each of the three.

It's based on the 5 congressional districts in Iowa and each candidate's support in each. Also involves a lot of rounding. Be mindful it's just an estimate.

but anyway, the actual delegates haven't mattered for a presidential nomination in more than 25 years. it would only matter if there was still a battle going on come summer time which is pretty much never going to happen.
