today is my boyfriend's birthday, and I can assure you all that whatever I got him will be just enough. He bought me an "expensive" gift for me on my birthday the first year we were together. Did I expect the same the next year? No, but he still delivered.

I'm not going to say bigstallion screwed up, but I will say that this girl sounds like a bratty child if he feels he *must* do all this for her.

The best gifts are thoughtful ones, not spend a lot of money or make a big deal about it because you think it will make her happy.

dang, my girlfriend likes the socks with individual toes. a lot. weird. anyway setting the bar slightly below what i intend to do is crucial. that way it's always a pleasant surprise. PROFIT!
