I saw a dead baby meemaw earlier coming onto inner 440 from Western. It was black and it had white boots on all of it's legs.

i'm at tschudi's house and his kitten....is not very smart. she's trying to jump up a wall and crying when she slides back down it. and her claws on the wall are making that nails on a chalkboard sound. and she keeps running upstairs and then downstairs and all around really fast....back and forth back and forth back and forth. she even did a skater boy stall on my back she jumped from the window sill stalled on my back like a skating trick and then dove behind the bed.

the cat in question (in her calmer days. she's bigger now but not much. DEFINITELY hyper):

when my cat is in the garage he will jump up and hook his claws into where the door's window meets the actual door and just chill there until someone opens it and lets him in.

today i got my cat a brand new safety collar and it has a bell on it. she was very confused when i first put it on her. ran all around crying and looking around like "where is the toy making that noise"

i also got her a touch sensitive light up ball. i thought she'd go nuts over it. but so far, she is uninterested.

1) He will randomly roll on his back and lay there with his feet in the air.
2) While in position from #1, his back foot becomes his enemy, and he will attack it.
3) He likes to try and chew on the strings to my hoodies while laying on my chest.
4) He headbutts you to say hello.
5) He will spend 20 minutes trying to get into any purse left where he can get to it.
6) If left out, he will steal any hair-tie or rubber band.

oh no. i feel like this is quasi sad.

so i'm sitting here on my couch and the door to my bedroom is open (i'm in a one bedroom condo) and my closet door happens to be open. it has a full length mirror inside of it and is now facing toward the living room. my cat has just noticed herself in said mirror and is on a table in the living room looking at the "other cat" in the mirror.

i can't decide if it is funny or sad. funny because she looks really cute. sad because she thinks she has a friend. but she doesn't always play well with others. i think i probably need to shut the door.

i am at my parents house in the sunroom attempting to study. i am all cozied up with a space heater and a blanket. and MY CAT IS DRIVING ME CRAZY.

she loves it here because there are lots and lots of windows. unfortunately we have a big yard with lots and lots of birds, squirrels, and trees. the trees are what have her attention at the moment. everytime the wind blows, leaves fall. and she goes psycho running back and forth back and forth to each and every window. jumping on me. then flying off of me and creeping up to the sofa to look out the window behind it (she has to creep so the leaves don't see her coming).

she is seriously about to have a heart attack she is so overstimulated. hundreds of leaves are blowing around...her head might explode.

our one year old cat has done the following in the last 2 weeks:

1- unrolled all the tp in our bathroom.... carried it to our closet.....made a nest of it, and then put all his toys in the nest

2- broke into a bag of powdered sugar and drug it into the living room to "show" us what he had done. His face was covered to the point he look like pacino in scarface

3- we tuck our sheets into the bottom of the bed. Twice he has gotten stuck under the sheet, hanging off the back of the bed ----- he just meows until we help him out.

^ lol!!!! my cat did something similar with pancake mix that was left on the counter. i came home and saw little white foot prints everywhere

then i walked into the kitchen found a HUGE mess. she had also pulled the bag into my roommates room and there was pancake mix all over her rug and her clothes.

whoopsy.

edit: putting his toys in the TP nest is really cute haha

My girlfriend has three cats. Her oldest one (the one she actually likes -- the other two were charity cases and since she is a sucker she can't turn them down) had no claws when she got her, but the other two do. Well, they got in to a little fracas and one scratched the oldest one's eye so bad she had to get it removed yesterday But at least she isn't in pain anymore...

That was the one cat that I liked, too... the others are devils on four legs and they scratch EVERYONE. Fuckers...

And I realize this is supposed to be a "cutesy" type thread and that I just brought in a downer story...

[Edited on November 25, 2008 at 1:44 PM. Reason : i'm a dog person all the way, but the one eyed one was pretty cool... for a cat]

my mom mopped the kitchen floor last night and said that my cat would not take her eyes off the mop (she's never seen one before) and then she wanted to get to her litter box in the laundry room, so she walked on the floor and got her feet wet and was shaking them as she walked.

My cats are insanely attracted to water. Carter and Finley step in the bowl with their front two feet, and swat it out, so they can play with it on the floor. They also try to knock over the water bowl. I think whoever gets it over in the least time after I set it down gets a prize or something.

Finley jumps in the tub any time I take a bath, and swims around.

Carter literally convulses when he gets excited, and opens his mouth really wide, like he's a little retard kitty or something.

Max likes to sit in the fridge. Any time he hears the door open, he SCREAMS across the apartment to get in before it closes. He refuses to come out. One time he refused to get out, so my fiance left him in there and forgot. After about an hour, we heard meowing. Opened the door, hopped out, got water, and hopped back in.

When I got back home Wednesday for thanksgiving break, I wondered why the cat was sleeping on the table instead of in the floor somewhere. Mama says she's been doing that over the last few weeks. She also said the cat was sleeping in a skillet that was sitting on the stove the other day. She's like 15 or 16 years old, and I think she's schizophrenic.

It's probably the ginger, it's very cat-nip esque.

Pretty normal for them to knead you.

My cat does most of the things mentioned...watches me shower, tries to give me baths, etc.

^^ im not sure how strange the nursing part is, my parents cat does that pretty bad, he will suck on your arm fairly hard and if you don't stop him he will actually give you a hickey and slobber all over you.

My cat kneads when she's really happy.

I came home last night after spending the weekend in Charleston. The moment I looked at her, she started hamming it up, begging for attention, and doing her inside-out rolypoly deal, and making the catbark noises at me. She couldn't have been more of a whore if she'd tried. Apparently, I was gone long enough to miss, but not long enough to warrant her getting angry at me for leaving.

Then later I scratched a spot in her ear that made her leg jump like a dog's

We've got these white pedestals we're using in our wedding sitting in the living room. I come in today, and the cats are just sitting there. My first thought, "who put the pussy on the pedestal?" My second thought was to grab the camera to get pictures to make a thread on TWW. Pictures coming soon!

The black one in the first picture is Max, he's about a year old, and just got out of the fridge. He'd been in there for a while.

The black one in the second picture is Carter, he's the crazy retarded kitty I described a few posts up. He and Finley are almost four months old.

Finley doesn't normally look like that, usually his eyes are wide open. He squints when the flash on the camera goes off.
