Its people like HockeyRoman that make me sick.

He'd probably rather have had the golfer intentionally kill a person than the hawk. Get your head out of your ass and realize that the world will go on. You should worry about some dickhead killing the S.B.P. at Carolina before getting your panties in a bunch over one stupid bird.

I'm sorry that people who have compassion for nature and innocent life sicken you.

Why do you think my care for these two are mutually exclusive? That is awfully presumptuous and myopic of you.

Just something of note, if you think he was intentionally trying to kill the hawk:

The hawk was in the way of the video shot (If you saw the TV report of this story, the hawk was actually standing in front of one of the cameras, not just making noise). He would not have tried to solve this problem by trying to kill the hawk. Then there would have been a dead hawk in the way, problem not solved.

Being a professional golfer, scaring a hawk away by raining balls around it would be a much more efficient method of scaring it away than, say, running at it screaming and flailing his arms. Even if he was trying to hit the hawk (which he probably was), it is unlikely he would expect such a shot to kill it. This man was not malicious or violent, just impatient.

That said, what he did wasn't smart, but it certainly wasn't deserving of any sort of punishment beyond a fine and a light amount of community service.

I wouldn't go as far as saying no compassion for people. In fact I stated various times that I hold innocent life in high esteem. But please continue to display your lack of reading comprehension and ignorance of people's stances on issues.

i'd rather have "lack of reading comprehension" than pitch as much of a hissy fit over this as you have...i wonder how stressed out you would get over something that actually mattered

I believe "it's a fucking bird" should pass here.

Fine him, make him look like an ass, make him build some houses for habitat for humanity and let life go on.

^ but that wouldn't suffice "for people like HockeyRoman". Need to build something for Habitat for Winged-Ones and go build a few nests.

... but really, "it was just a fucking bird"

I said that before? The play on the name is creative though.

Am I the only one willing to admit that I would do the same thing?

Assuming he didn't know it was a protected species, and that I could hit the side of a barn from 75 yards out with a golf ball.

The bird clearly deserved it...after all, the bird exhales carbon dioxide, which we all know is a pollutant. Good riddance to that evil hawk; thats one less evil polluting bird that the Earth has to deal with.

I'd do the same thing, without a doubt.

If I was doing something as "important" as filming a TV show, you'd bet your ass I'd try to kill the little shit bird that was ruining the session

It's a damn bird.... natural selection son
