well total capacity is around 60,000 and assuming the upper and lower decks hold about the same amount . . . 14,000 x 4 = 56,000. So it's probably a decent estimate 4/17/2008 11:53:49 AM |

Since I went to the UNC school of stadium attendance estimations, my guess is 57,000. We'll call it capacity but print 57,000 to be on the safe side. Don't want anyone calling us out for "over estimating" 4/17/2008 8:11:02 PM |

I'm watching it on PackPass. Pretty good video coverage, but Tim Peeler needs to stick to writing ... he's not much of broadcaster.
Wow, Pierson just missed a 25 yard field goal. Looks like the kicking game is back to being a shitfest this year. 4/19/2008 1:31:21 PM |

First half impressions:
Beck will have decent numbers, but he has some of the worst fundamentals ive ever seen at QB. He'll make some plays, but you can't have consistent success with those fundamentals.
Russell Wilson showed very little, but it wasn't entirely his fault. He rarely had time to make anything happen, as the first team defense was bringing some incredible heat early on. He made a few plays with his legs, and throws a really, really nice ball however.
Burke, so far, is looking good. Really good. He reminds me a lot of Evans with a stronger arm. He makes quick decisions, and throws a pretty accurate ball. While he doesn't have a cannon arm (Wilson/Beck) it's not as weak as many were making it out to be. Definitely surprised here.
Our kicking game is going to be an adventure, but Jeff Ruiz seems to have a lock on the punting job. He doesn't get a ton of distance, but is hanging it up pretty well.
Finally, spring football is a joke. I'm watching every second of it, but it's sloppy, and downright painful at times. 4/19/2008 2:13:05 PM |

i'm back. we left at halftime..
QB play was inconsistent for every guy. It will be painful again this season.
Donald Bowens will be our next big receiver... he is the best in that position, by far..

I'm hoping Geron James can get back in with the team. He was a solid WR before he left and it appears he has bulked up some but kept his speed. Our WR core will be solid, Spencer looked good today and Jay Smith almost had a nice one-handed grab but the throw was pretty bad.
Wasn't impressed with Wilson though, I did like his mobility, but he wasn't throwing it well except for his side-armed pass in the 2nd half. Burke surprised me with how well he was playing, and Beck actually was surprising as well except on a few bone-headed plays that reminded me why he struggled last year. 4/19/2008 3:10:33 PM |

Everyone has been saying how well Wilson performed in practice and scrimmages. I'm guessing he was nervous with all the people out there with their eye on him. Even so, all the QBs looked suspect at times.. 4/19/2008 3:13:06 PM |

^ How did Burke look suspect? He wasn't great, but was solid as hell and even showed some good mobility when pressed. I'm still hoping Wilson wins out (he definitely picked up his play in the two-minute offense) but Burke was the best QB out there today.

burke made some dumbbbbbb throws that got through somehow, make those in conference play and youre gettin a pick six every time
Wilson had no one that could make any plays at the receiver spot it seemed, altho his mobility still looks like its his best feature, decent passer but his height hurts
Beck...well he did decent, nothing really that impressed me, he's still got a ways to go
Bowens is the man at the WR spot and Eugene's impressive
Defensive wise, our secondary will struggle but the Dline and LB look fairly stable
special teams will suck.
btw
Glennon is ridiculously tall, looks to be adding someeee weight, still needs more Manning is a LOT bigger than I pictured him at and DuJuans arms are HUGE to be a safety
that is all for now
