none. they are attempting to set a record that can't be easily broken in the foreseeable future.

It still says 2.0.0.14 on the download page.

This is a fuckup of epic proportions.

couple of things i dont like/dont know how to get to work

1. it wont let me have my right click gestures addon where you can hold right click and go left and you go back a page and all that good stuff

2. when you have tabs open and you put the mouse over the tabs and scroll the mouse wheel it doesnt scroll through the tabs

3. when you click down with the mouse wheel the scroll do-hicky doesnt come up and allow you to scroll really fast up or down the page

anyone know how to fix these things?

^#2, when you have multiple tabs open (like 15-20) and they span wider than your browser window, the scroll button scrolls through the tabs that are off the screen... that's probably why they don't scroll/open each tab

#3, when i use my middle click, the scroll 'thingy' does come up and it does allow me to scroll fast, so idk.

that's up to the AddOn creator to make the addon compatible with FF3. It's not FF3's fault. You can, however, try one of the hacks where you override the compatibility check

i don't think that is default behavior. it's probably behavior from one of the addons that are not compatible with FF3 yet

Tools > Option > Advanced > General and make sure "use autoscrolling" and/or "use smooth scrolling" are checked

^^ thank you! that makes me much happier

i figured the first concern i had wouldnt be fixable until someone comes out with a new add on but i thought the second was typical for firefox. oh well if anyone knows how to get that working i would appreciate it.

i hate the address bar.

It is terrible for message boards because it displays every thread URL first instead of the main page URL in the history.

you'll get used to it. i used a few of the betas, so its not biggie for me now, but i still find it difficult to see why they implemented such a tacky feature.

i actually like the new address bar

while im an avid opera fan, i like how firefox's "smart" address bar works better than the similar one in the new version of opera. the one in opera not only indexes the url of the site, and the title, but every single word in each page you visit. it's overkill.

that was quick

http://blogs.zdnet.com/security/?p=1288

Quote :
"It’s not all about world records for Firefox 3.0.

Just hours after the official release of the latest refresh of Mozilla’s flagship browser, an unnamed researcher has sold a critical code execution vulnerability that puts millions of Firefox3.0 users at risk of PC takeover attacks.

According to a note from TippingPoint’s Zero Day Initiative (ZDI) , a company that buys exclusive rights to software vulnerability data, the Firefox 3.0 bug also affects earlier versions of Firefox 2.0x.

Technical details are being kept under wraps until Mozilla’s security team ships a patch.

According to ZDI’s alert, it should be considered a high-severity risk:

Successful exploitation of this vulnerability could allow an attacker to execute arbitrary code, permitting the attacker to completely take over the vulnerable process, potentially allowing the machine running the process to be completely controlled by the attacker. TippingPoint researchers continue to see these types of “user-interaction required ” browser-based vulnerabilities - such as clicking on a link in email or inadvertently visiting a malicious web page.

It looks very much like the vulnerability researcher was hoarding this vulnerability and saving it for Firefox 3.0 final release to make the sale.

In the absence of a fix, Firefox users should practice safe browsing habits and avoid clicking on strange links that arrive via e-mail or IM messages.

There are no reports of this issue being exploited but, if you are worried about being at risk of drive-by attacks, consider using a different browser."

That should just go without saying. People need to quit freaking out over security vulnerabilities, and causing unneeded FUD.
