what else? octopuses! what else? oysters!!" |
Are you serious? I feel Lil Wayne had the weakest verse on the song all hate aside...Truth be told I felt Weezy go outshined by most of his featured guests...
But the Carter 3 is a very well produced album. I'll give it a 7.6/15/2008 2:15:40 PM |

I think just the fact ew are asking "is it a classic?" immediately upon its release says quite a bit about what he means to the game and where is, as far as status. The only other artist we give that sort of treatment is jigga. For whatever reason, Nas is rarely placed under that type of scrutiny/such high expectations 6/15/2008 6:59:42 PM |

i guess you're just gonna disregard the fact that "Kingdom Come" is terrible and "American Gangster" only has a few good tracks on it.. and most of the dude's guest verses recently have been lazy. his verse on "Mr. Carter" is decent but nothing great
i'd much rather listen to something that Wayne puts out these days then anything Jay is putting out 6/15/2008 10:23:21 PM |

^^not at all. the only songs that could be considered R&B are "Tie My Hands" "Mrs. Officer" and "Misunderstood"
Here's why I can't really get into this album, it's the first verse of "Playing With Fire" Mama always told me i was crazy, My hoes say im amazing, But i dont listen to a lady, But the bitch say im hot, And i say no bitch im blazin, like what the fuck do you expect, im muthafuckin cajun I feel caged in my mind, its like my flow doin time, i goes crazy inside, but when it comes Out its fine, like wine, wait, watch, see i get better in time like a watch osh-be-gosh-posh Wife's husband couldn't kick it like i kick it bitch i kicks it. no cereal like a land and i Sticks it. whatever she asks me, after she licks it. thats too explicit, well why you Listenin, (sniff) i smell smoke, is somethin sizzlin? thats a pussy, so hey pussy play with Pussy, or play pussy.
What in the fuck?

i gotta admit, that was a hot line on the low
and honestly, it can go either way
jay said in an interview about wayne....paraphrased...look he's one of the hardest working dudes in the game, and he's incredible. it's not always about what he says, but how he says it.
his rhymes are weird and most of the time dont make sense, but he still sounds nice because of his delivery/flow6/17/2008 9:42:00 AM |

Pretty solid album. I'm slowly removing myself off the Lil Wayne bandwagon. I enjoy and respect his songs, but I can't listen to it over and over again like I did with The Carter. I think I'm just moving away from that type of rap altogether. 6/20/2008 1:02:04 PM |
