yea he is a werewolf! only seems fitting in a world where vampires are present that a werewolf could be found. lets call him mr. wuf.

Well I wouldn't say he is a werewolf... we know he has some kind of relationship to canines but we have seen no indication of him sprouting fangs and fur during a full moon. A werewolf would leave all types of fur and stuff behind. And besides, Sam was out with Sookie all night... werewolves aren't fast enough to get back to her house, kill her grandmother, and flee.

There is something definitely up with him though... in next week's episode it looks like he threatening Bill and no human would threaten a vampire like that.

^ sam had a car and left that place well before sookie did (she had to call a cab, remember?) so he had plenty of time to get over there and leave

i think he is something along the lines of a werewolf for sure. there was that one scene where she was speaking with bill and made a comment about silver only being for werewolves and then said "i'm not implying werewolves are real or anything" i think that was supposed to act as a clue or something that you would go back and see later after everything unfolds and notice it as foreshadowing

I don't know if he is going to be a werewolf in the normal sense of what we would think. I think he just has the ability to turn into a wolf/dog as well as communicating with them. In the first episode when Sookie goes to rescue Bill, Sam gives chase as well leaving about 5 seconds behind her, yet he doesn't come up at any point during her encounter with him. Though the dog does... but that dog has also been shown with Sam at one point.

OK, first of all, I've already said the only thing I've read about the novels, so pretty much everything I say from this point on is pure speculation. And the only thing I have said may end up having little to no bearing on the show.

Sam as the killer seems too damn easy. A storyline this detailed, and they're going to make the killer this obvious this early? If it turns out that way, I'm going to be disappointed.

With one exception, and that's if Sam does indeed turn out to be a werewolf. That I could live with, since it would still be something of a twist, and since it would fit in with vampire mythology (as I understand it, vampires and werewolves are not notorious for getting along).

Of course, for all my complaining, I don't actually have any speculation as to who the killer might be.

---

I also thought it was interesting that, between the two cops investigating the murders, Bill seemed to do a double take on on the bald one's last name -- the one that doesn't wear a uniform normally, and the one that seems unwilling to accept the, "He's a vampire, he must've done it" theory that the other cop is such a fan of. His last name seemed to ring a bell in Bill's mind, and he repeated it questioningly. Presumably there is some sort of family connection. I think we can safely rule out that the cop is a "closet vampire," though, since we've seen him during the daytime.

THAT"S WHAT I WAS THINKING,

I asked one of my friends during that scene if she'd told him her name, but we couldn't remember/didn't think she had.

I'll admit I was intrigued a little bit when this show started, but with each episode I'm seeing the eminent downward spiral. Not that it will ever be looked back up on as a 'good show,' but it's getting a bit ridiculous even for a vampire tv show.

-The southern accents are over the top terrible, particularly the black chick
-The main character's name is Sookie
-The sped up camera shots to convey 'vampire quickness' are annoying as shit

Unfortunately I'll still probably watch the rest of the season, b/c my roommates love it and now that I've invested a few hours in it, I may as well see what happens so the time spent wasn't a complete waste of my life. It would be better as a 30 minute show.

If these are your main complaints, you have no case.

Besides Chuck, True Blood is my favorite show so far this year.

I think may biggest overall complaint are the moments of sheer cheesiness. I actually like the concept of the show, and the plot lines are enticing...

I just think the execution could've been better at times. The accents are annoyingly bad at times, but that being said.....I still watch it So it's really more of just a fuck you HBO for getting me hooked on this show which has an abundance of those 'you cant be serious' moments.....It's entertaining nonetheless, and Sookie is smokin' hot....so whatever

I guess it's just that I don't buy some of the characters / acting....like the redneck townies who act lake racists during integration toward the vamps

I think there are two killers:
1: Sam as a werewolf/wolf/dog/shapeshifter of some sort. The grandma was murdered gruesomely with blood everywhere. Dawn and the other girl were strangled.
2: Whoever killed Dawn and the other girl. My guess is this is someone who wants to frame Bill.

If you go back and watch the shows, the first dog that shows up when Sookie goes outside to rescue Bill was a collie i.e Sam. There is another dog; the one Sam was playing with and talking to i.e. the real dog.

If someone wants to frame Bill though, they would go after Sookie since the whole town knows they have been hanging out. Bill has no relation to either of the other two killed and the police obviously don't see him as a suspect.

Bill's the new guy in town and two girls suddenly die? He's a suspect. They did interview him in the last episode about it. Jason was simply the one who was seen with them last.

I'm really tempted to just tell yall what happens, like why Bill reacts to Bellafleur's name, and who the real killer is, but I guess if you want to know, you can just read the books.

here is a clue, if you know what happens, dont post about ANYTHING that hasnt happened b/c even your speculation is tainted by real knowledge

^We said the same thing last night after we saw it. Also, in the first episode when Sookie saves Bill and the dog comes up, Bill makes some comment about how the dog was looking out for her, which to me implied that he knows a little something.

They mention that the grandma was stabbed repeatedly. So while I guess Sam could still be the killer, he used a regular ol' knife, not any dog-related powers.

also im very curious what the connection is to Bill and the sherrif's deputy BUT that is not an invitation for doucheshadow to post anything, lol

it seems like he's always giving the vampires the benefit of the doubt

ALSO, i just remembered the kid who was interning with the sheriffs at grandma's house AND who was also wheeling out sookie's uncle in the graveyard. clearly we're supposed to catch on that he's in with the vampires. he reminds me of the kid from wedding crashers, lol.

Yeah, I meant that as a contrast between the two modus operandi of the murders. If the first two were strangled, it wouldn't make sense that the same killer would savagely murder the grandma with a knife.

I'm not sure what was up with the hole that was cut in the screen in the upstairs window that Bill was looking at. Guessing a way for the killer to get in or out? A dog couldn't get up to the second level but if Sam could turn into a bird or some shit that wouldn't rule him out. Otherwise I might have to revise my guess as to who the killer/s are.

Oh yeah, and also "yay anna paquin boobies". I'm pretty surprised she showed tit. Maybe she doesn't have a problem with it, which is cool, so we might get more boobies.
