I think Ari will end up recommending Dana Gordon for the studio job, she will get it then she will owe Ari big and that will get Vince put into smoke jumpers. Then Vince's career will take back off and Ari will still be Vince's agent and that will put everyone back into their traditional role as far as the show goes. Oh and Drama will probably lose his job too... but that's just my theory...

That really was a good episode. I guess I don't understand why Vince wouldn't be happy though. As his agent, Ari and Vince can continue to fight for roles, which is fun for the audience. But as studio head, there is no constant lobbying, Ari can just GIVE Vince whatever he wants (with the exception of Indy flicks, of course). Plus, it seems like it would seriously fuck up your career if you turned down such an offer. And to think, of all the people that pissed Ari off, like the owner of his old firm or that prick agent that used to get his coffee, that he promised to bury, what an opportunity to fuck them over. I'd take it.

I'm thinking Vince just loves the dynamic that he has with everyone. It's kind of like how he's not too happy with Eric giving his attention to other clients. Like he said to Ari...he wants to finish what they started. It's almost like this would be a shortcut to fame when Vince wanted to earn everything that he gets (which is why he's been so selective with his roles throughout the series).

E should have told Vince to fuck off and they should have left it hanging like that.

Also...I thought they were bringing Sloan back?? When the E's receptionist was like, "There's a pretty package for you in your office" or something like that...I was really hoping/thinking it was going to be Sloan.

i think it had to end on an upside, good-feeling sort of way. This season has been depressing as a whole and had it ended with E and Vince going seperate ways and no sign of an upturn i think it would have turned a lot of viewers away from even caring about next season. A lot of people i've talked to were only watching because they had invested so much of their time on the show's previous seasons. Seeing vince bounce back will hopefully renew people's interest and next season should be awesome.
