Tried Wolaver's certified organic Will Stevens' Pumpkin Ale, not bad.

Still not a Cottonwood or Dogfish though.

the Dogfish is excellent.

and the Shipyard Pumpkinhead is fucking NASTY imo. i'm not a fan at all.

agreed, really all of the shipyard beers suck so I would avoid them if I were you...I always feel sorry for the people I see buying them at the beer store

I went to Food Lion to get some pumpkin beer.

All they had was Blue Moon pumpkin


but I didn't like it.


Then again, I don't like regular Blue Moon.

Harvest Moon was discussed earlier in the thread and it was suggested to stay far away. Try Lowes Food for some Saranac Pumpkin.

Weyerbacher(sp) Imperial was meh.

anyone ever had Jack's Pumpkin Spice Ale or something like that? I thought it was awesome but I cant find it anywhere

Where are some good places to look. I am starting with Whole Foods.

So far it seems like you guys all dig Cottonwood and Dogfish. You got any other suggestions?

yes Red Oak is the heat but you cant buy that in anything other than kegs

They had this at Peace Street Market. This was in October, though, so I don't know if they still have it.

I had a Saranac pumpkin ale

it wasn't super impressive...
very little pumpkin flavor and only hints of spice, too hoppy
it tasted almost soapy but not in a bad way

will drink again
