I thought it was a pretty good episode.
When Jim isn't distracted by Pam in some way or another, he's free for the Dwight interaction which basically makes the show for me. For some reason, Michael/Holly singing "Let's get ethical" had me cracking up even though it was so obvious and I usually laugh at the little things.
But I have also laughed every single time Andy has called Jim "Tuna" over the past few seasons, so feel free to disagree with my opinion on what is funny and not (because my girlfriend doesn't think that is funny at all) 10/9/2008 10:14:35 PM |

yeah, holly-meredith was lackluster and quite stupid actually. Holly really seemed to force it and it was boring.

the whole show is pretty amazing.
My girlfriend and i were talking about it the other day (i had just bought her a dwight bobble-head) and she made the point that Steve Carrel fits the Micheal Scott character perfectly. we had trouble thinking of someone who could do it better. 10/10/2008 11:04:02 AM |

I recommend the "Greenzo" episode with David Schwimmer as one pretty good ep. And the one where Jack Donaghee is working for Homeland Security

S1 and S2 of 30 Rock are hands down better than S3 and S4 of The Office. Last year, I was looking forward every week much more to 30 Rock than The Office.
Which is better between S1/2 The Office vs. S1/2 30 Rock? dunno.... I would have to go back and watch them all again. But I would put 30 Rock definitely up on the same pedestal as the early The Office.
As for a good episode of 30 Rock to start with, I would suggest S1 E08, "The Break up". So much happens in that one (not really giving too much away here, if you're not familiar with the show)..... - Liz dumps Dennis - Dennis tried to get Liz back with the poem he reads in front of the whole office - Jack is secretly dating "a high ranking African-American woman in the Bush Administration" - Tracy calls Toofer a ni**er, Toofer sues Tracy, and they both go to sensitivity training - Dennis ends up on a particularly notorious TV show hosted by Chris Hansen10/10/2008 3:24:43 PM |

^ my favorite line from the whole series is in that one
Quote : | "Dear Liz Lemon, while other women have bigger boobs than you, no other woman has as big a heart. When I saw you getting ready to go out and get nailed by a bunch of guys last night, I knew for sure it was over between us, and for the first time since the ‘86 World Series, I cried… I cried like a big, dumb homo. And if it was up to me, we’d be together forever. But there’s a new thing called “women’s liberation”, which gives you women the right to choose and you have chosen to abort me, and that I must live with. So tonight, when you arrive home, I’ll be gone. I officially renounce my squatter’s rights." |
