So I need a little help from one of you. And I'll be helping out you as well.
I made a reservation at Days Inn of Birmingham, AL for:
Check-in on Dec. 28. Check-out on Dec. 30.
Two hours after I made the reservation, I found out my dad made a reservation for us with his friends at another hotel. I tried cancelling this one and they said it was non-refundable (apparently, I missed a checkbox). BUT, I digress.
The room is a non-smoking 2 double bed room. It cost me a little over $125. I will show up at the hotel and check you in for the price of $80 for the 2 nights.
This hotel is 4/5 of a mile from the stadium.
This is the hotel website: http://www.daysinn.com/DaysInn/control/Booking/property_info?propertyId=14951&brandInfo=DI

worried your post just what 6-7 posts ago in this thread wouldn't get enough action? will we be subjected to another add on page 4? is your plugging this post in other bowl threads going to stop in the near future? maybe you should make a thread with this info in it....oh wait, nevermind

Was going to stay there, but the double bed rooms were sold out by the time I got back from buying my tickets at the box office. Now staying at the Hyatt Place Birmingham/Inverness (http://birminghaminverness.place.hyatt.com/hyatt/hotels/place/index.jsp). It's about 15 miles from the field (yours is 13 or so, I think) but it's $78 a night. Hard to argue with that.

This bowl could be good because ... Forget about Oklahoma and Florida; NC State and Rutgers might be the two hottest teams in the country. Fine, so they're not the Sooners and Gators, but NC State won four straight get here while Rutgers has pulled off six in a row.
This bowl could suck because ... Each team has been blowing away everyone over the last quarter of the year. Could one team get hot and blowout the other? Tom O'Brien is great in bowl games, and Greg Schiano's Rutgers team destroyed Ball State in last year's International Bowl." |

How will they be checking IDs at the Will Call? In the event that I get my student ticket and guest tickets and it turns out that I can't go, will they be checking names on the IDs and print tickets at the Will Call at the stadium? Or will they just check to make sure that there is an ID. I'll have to give my ticket to my roommate, who just graduated and has his valid ID.

^They'll have enough tickets - you have to claim and purchase a "ticket" on the ticketing website first. That determines availability. 12/9/2008 6:05:17 PM |

ain't that the damn truth
and he has his lips perched so tightly around louisville's cawk its hard to understand anything he says
that has been entertaining though with louisvilles utter collapse, with him trying to simultaneously find every silver lining about the team while distancing himself from earlier homer-ific blog posts...12/9/2008 8:50:09 PM |

They're playing a 6-6 Kentucky team that went 2-6 in the SEC. The biggest prize they can ever hope for at ECU -- aside from the impossibility of running the table and sneaking into the BCS -- is playing the eighth best team in the SEC. Wow. 12/10/2008 12:31:17 AM |
