well, i for one believe all of our actions are environmental & biological and that there is no higher mental cause for our actions. I'd just say logically unexplainable actions are caused by things in the subconscious that aren't obvious to other people...

maybe past things he experienced caused him to have some sort of alienation towards women and men became the obvious choice. Subconsciously this was so powerful that it overwrote his natural desire to be heterosexual.

no, as far as i understand biological determinists don't believe the environment has any impact on later decisions. I believe that biology is the primary factor but certain things can change the individual, but that this all goes on subconsciously and that none of it is really choice even when it looks like it

at the same time, i'd say your attraction to men is probably a delusion. its definitely not natural. it is either genetic defect, subconscious, or a conscious choice. There is no other reason for it. As far as evolution goes it definitely does not make sense.

i don't think it's a defect, per se

there have been gay people for as long as people themselves have existed

if it were indeed a defect that was seriously detrimental to survival and continuation of the species, natural selection would have taken care of that

About six hours before your family gets ready to carve the Christmas turkey, you take the carving tools and perform the procedure. You should have enough time left over to put the tools in the dishwasher and use them on the bird.

the thing to remember is that somewhere deep down, she wants you to love her just as much as you want her to accept you.

i think this is the sort of conversation that should happen during the day, on a day that you feel comfortable leaving if the conversation takes a turn that you don't like (i.e. not Christmas). as long as she understands where you're coming from and that you are treating the situation as an adult, then she can either a) accept it and love you for who you are or b) be a close minded bitch and keep her archaic thoughts.
