Stein which beer did you have? I went a while back and got a pitcher of their golden something or other and it was rather tasty. 6/3/2009 12:17:41 PM |

Still haven't been there, but I've heard from several people that they have the worst wait staff in town. 6/3/2009 12:20:44 PM |

They definitely have the worst wait staff. The service sucks and the food is terrible. The view on the porch is cool though 6/3/2009 12:22:58 PM |

The Golden. I want to say they were out of the Pale Ale and the Porter when I was there.
I will add that, despite my complaints, the view is pretty cool. I just can't see myself going back there.6/3/2009 12:33:05 PM |

I complained about the music a lot mainly to the staff. My friends and I call it the Time-out bar, because it's like being in Time-out when you go there. The library also works. If there aren't a lot of people you feel weird about talking, and dick and fart jokes you have to be a little more careful about so as not to offend the families sitting within proximity. Music is a must, and facilitates talking imho.
I think he's just a cheap ass and that's why there was no music. 6/3/2009 12:37:39 PM |

I've been there three times, and the wait staff was amazingly slow each time. I did enjoy the food I had the one time I ate there, but with so many great places to eat downtown I'm not sure how often I would ever choose to eat there. It's hard to beat a cold beer on that patio in the summer, though. 6/3/2009 12:42:03 PM |

thank god that Raleigh has at least 20 different bars that have patios and actually have beer on tap 6/3/2009 12:50:25 PM |

Thanks for letting me know that I actually thought Boylan Bridge was the only bar in the entire city. It's great to know now that I have a choice. 6/3/2009 12:59:22 PM |
