^ Quote : | "i hate that our legal system is filled with shit like this" | Why? This was a fucking serious crime. If anything, the legal system should have more cases like this (if they are unfortunate enough to happen, of course...). I hate that our society is filled with shit-for-brains like you.
Quote : | "A libertarian that wants to send a woman to prison because she neglected her cats.
I guess your apathy extends only to poor people." | What the fuck does being libertarian have to do with anything? She committed a heinous crime....Like I saidQuote : | "Basically, HUR's previous statement saying that this a partisan issue is clearly not the case." | And my "apathy extends only to poor people"? Again... What the fuck? Are you trying to be funny? What the fuck does this have to do with poor people? Oh wait, right.... All libertarians don't give a shit about poor people .... You are a sick fuck to say shit like that, and even sicker if you actually believe it.... (OH GEE, YOU'RE A DEMOCRAT, WELL YOU MUST BE A SOCIALIST... OH, YOU'RE A REPUBLICAN?... OH, YOU MUST CLUB BABY SEALS....) First off, fuck you for suggesting that I don't care about poor people. Second, fuck you for suggesting that this woman didn't commit a very heinous crime. Third, fuck you for suggesting that my political affiliation has anything to do with this. (STFU)
Quote : | "The doctors got lucky from the sounds of it. Not really sure what it has to do with this case." | Exactly. It's got nothing do to with this case. I'm pretty sure Lonesnark (or whomever may have hacked his account,) was actually suggesting that just because the doctors somehow escaped punishment and arrest for their crimes, that this teacher should also not be punished and arrested. I fail to see any other "point" he may have been trying to make.

In my line of work I work with people from all walks of life. It's horrible to say, but when I first started I was told to be on the look-out for teachers and was told they are the most clueless customers out there. It's true, at least for the elementary school ones. Never met a high school teacher who was clueless. I hate saying that because I have many good friends who are teachers who aren't clueless, but I've witnessed the stereotype and can't say I disagree with it. 4/5/2009 2:01:58 PM |

Since someone asked me to cite my statement on animal cruelty and violence against humans, I can point you in the direction of multiple books and papers on the subject.
-Animal Cruelty: Pathway to Human Violence by Linda Merz-Perez, Kathleen M. Heide -Daniel Hellman and Nathan Blackman. Enuresis, Firesetting, and Cruelty to Animals: A triad predictive of Adult Crime. -Felthous, Alan R. (1980), "Aggression Against Cats, Dogs, and People", Child Psychiatry and Human Development (10): 169–177 -Cruelty to Animals and Interpersonal Violence: Readings in Research and Application edited by Randall Lockwood and Frank R. Ascione ISBN: 1557531064 -Child Abuse, Domestic Violence, and Animal Abuse: Linking the Circles of Compassion for Prevention and Intervention edited by Frank R. Ascione and Phil Arkow ISBN: 1557531439
It should also be noted that animal cruelty is harm to an animal for the sole purpose of causing harm and suffering. Animal cruelty, at the least, is a known marker of sociopaths, psychopaths, and/or violent criminals. We should be concerned by people who wantonly inflict pain and suffering. 4/5/2009 8:52:10 PM |

So she could spend as much time in prison as the man who killed a San Francisco mayor and city manager? Yeah that seems a bit much.4/6/2009 2:17:12 AM |

^ Exactly. While she clearly deserves five years, the man who killed a San Francisco mayor and city manager should've been sentenced to life. Every [actual] murderer should be given life sentences. 4/6/2009 7:33:47 AM |
