so again, why is pittsburgh such a heavy favorite? we split our games with them, and their stats are almost identical to ours. crosby and malkin are great players sure, but we've got our own stars plus other guys who are willing to step up. can someone enlighten me as to why NO ONE is giving us a chance in hell?

and about the NBC issue which nobody seems to have an issue with because everyone hates the NBC coverage, but I like it better than VS anywho...

Bill Simmons has a new podcast to discuss the NHL and partly, the Pens/Canes matchup. I'm only 10 minutes in, but so far he's called it an awful matchup and a finals dud. I just think he's bitter.

They also bash Bill Cowher for being a devoted Canes fan instead of a penguins fan.

He would never pass up a chance to take a shot at Cowher (or any Steeler). And of course it would be a dud, BAAAHSTON isn't going to be there. The world revolves around BAAAHSTON, didn't you get the memo?

On a side note, since NBC has yet to commit to coverage next year, anyone else get the feeling we will be playing two opponents this round? The NHL has to get golden boy into the finals anyway they can.
