I've lost 30lbs, and I had lap band surgery in November. I've recently started exercising after being lazy for way too long, so I expect to see the scale start moving again. My weight loss has stalled in the last two months.

yeah, even with the lap band. unfortunately, diet change alone does not work for very long. i eat maybe 1200 calories a day most days, but my body got used to that pretty quickly. according to my doctor, considering the fact i didn't exercise at all in the first 6 months, i've actually done pretty well. but most days i still feel like a failure. i try not to think about. i now go walking/jogging at lake johnson about 3 days a week with ambrosia1231 and it's really starting to make a difference.

well i know it is a lot easier for dudes to lose weight anyway. have you considered a low carb diet combined with a high cardio exercise regime?

the problem i have with low carb dieting is that it's always a temporary weight loss for me. in the past (pre-surgery) i've always gained the weight back the minute i introduced carbs back into my diet. so for now, i'm going to stick with the cardio a few times a week and see what that does for me. i imagine i'll lose another 10lbs or so and then stall again. at that point, i'll consider yet another diet change.

Well I can tell you have lost weight and that you are definitely making great progress. But at the same time I see you posting in Chatterbox about getting Moe's and Bojangles and shit like that. So I am just saying that if you are serious about it, the diet change is a big portion of it.

How can you tell I've lost weight? Are you stalking me?

Yeah, I did get Moe's, but I cut out enough stuff that it made it a 400 calorie lunch, of which I ate a little more than half. And with Bojangles, I eat 2 chicken supremes and can't eat another bite. I get junk food and eat very little of it. But believe me, I know it's self-sabotage and there are plenty better choices to make. Those are demons I'll face the rest of my life. Once a fattie, always a fattie - regardless of what the scale says.

I can just tell from the pictures I have seen

and I am just making the assessment based on females around me that really piss me off. They complain about how hard it is to lose weight, then eat fast food for lunch every day. This chick I work with drinks a diet drink for breakfast then eats either Moe's or Burger King for lunch every day. I try to explain to her why that makes no sense, but she doesn't get it.

I have 4.5 days of Vacation left for this year. I haven't designated them for any particular day. I suppose I'll use 1 of them for the day after Thanksgiving.
