Does anybody ever use the tanning oil that has SPF in it? Does that stuff really protect you from the sun? Also, how does it cause you to tan? I cannot figure out how an oil or lotion can make you tan better.

When your skin is wet/moisturized it tans better or burns faster.

the back of my neck is peeling bad. it's itchy and hurts. i'm sure it looks nasty. i'm wearing a collared shirt today thankfully.

i like the aloe with the lidocaine & menthol in it.

Farmer tan from hell. Worked on the boat all weekend, no sunscreen, wearing my Car Quest redneck shirt with no sleeves. My arms were RED...and damn painful. Still hurt.

I got my back burned pretty good. Accidently fell asleep on the beach . It was like 75 degrees, not crowded, and with a nice breeze so it was easy to sleep lol.

I wish I could be one of the people who burn and then it turns into a tan and you're good for the rest of the summer. When I burn, it just peels off and I'm pasty again. I have to be very careful to apply high-SPF sunscreen the first few times I go out every year to make sure I build color very slowly.

I have done a good job not burning. Just lay on the hammock and read for like hour periods at a time. Nearly finished a 600-pager too.

used the tanning bed for the first time, my ass has never been exposed to UV before....I forgot to change the setting from 10/10...was in for 20 minutes

luckily covered my junk and face, those weren't roasted, but everything else white was...took about 8hrs to set

how often should I go and what settings should I use?

can I go 10 minutes @ 10 and see similar results as 20 mintues @ 5?

should I worry about UV and my junk? should I wear a sock?
